Nah. Even with a terrible offensive line and a suspect QB, Miami should win 10 regular season games and all that. hUh.
U forgot to mention the over weight elephant in the Cane locker room. The Cane offensive line is AVERAGE at best. And that includes the returning O-line starters from this season. So until the Canes have a dominate, NASTY offensive line, the Canes will have a difficult time winning the ACC championship game. hUh.

Improvement is much more than just wins and losses. Technically, this team could improve significantly next year and still go 10-2 and lose the ACCCG. I mean they only improved from 8 wins under Golden/Scott to 9 under Richt in year one but the on field improvements were significant.
I'd like to see more consistency on both offense and defense. No more getting up for big games and sleepwalking through others.
They need to get better at QB if they're going to compete for playoff spots. 2017 Rosier is not going to cut the mustard.
Obviously, third down improvement on both sides is paramount.
Better lineplay, especially run blocking and short yardage.
Lastly, with improved recruiting, depth should be much better. I don't want to cringe every time a starter has to come off the field for rest or an injury. There should not be the huge drop off from first to second team at so many positions as there is now.
If you want a totally tangible goal, I'll say win the ACC but I'm not going to throw a hissy fit if I see significant improvement that doesn't neccesarily come with a conference title.

Savannah State, it was supposed to be at Rutgers, but they paid us off to get out of the deal.
Can't speak for anybody else but yes I think that's fair.
Some very important **** has to happen this offseason for that to happen but with recruiting going as it is and the trajectory this team is on if we resolve our QB and continue to grow it is attainable.
End Goal - We need to get back to the ACCCG and be in the hunt for the Playoffs, like we were this year. I could handle not winning the ACCCG again if it's to a loaded Clemson/FSU team and we play them close. No more blowouts.
Season Goal - Win at least 1 between LSU, FSU & VT at minimum. I can handle being 10-2 going into the ACCCG if the loses came to good teams. The losing to bad teams (ND 2015, Pitt 2016) can't happen anymore.
I want to see at least a similar outcome to this year, but improve the "way" we do it.

The schedule in 2018, like 2017, is easy. Miami is the class of the field again in the Coastal and should win. Below find the Out of Conference schedules of Power 5 teams that Play Miami next season. FSU, VT and Pitt dominating and going undefeated against their OOC opponents may help Miami’s Strength of schedule and record.

Agree. It was implied with my comment about being able to run the football when we have to.
It seems mighty LSU's non-conference schedule is a typical SEC non-conference.
Go figure. Because with the exception of Miami, LSU's schedule is SOFT! For instance, I believe both Rice and SE La. were in ESPN's BOTTOM 10 and what not.

LOL. Pitt will do their usual and be 2-2 at best.
VT is back to their old ways. The OSU* series was a anomaly. They are back to a one game season, beat UM and go to ACC CG.

Yep. Won it with no OL, injuries, depth issues, and NO QB in 2017. Now, time to start putting distance over the awful Coastal clowns.

We really have a chance to go 12-0. Almost did it, should have done it, this year. LSU is tough but beatable, with a drunken, crazy coach. FSU at home should be a win. We are better/more talented than all other opponents. This is assuming we have a QB. And improved OL.
Should we expect to beat Clemson in the ACC CG? No. But we should expect to have a chance.
I'd also like to see how our defense plays with a lead.
