What about Jim Tessel?

I could go for this. One of the best names I've seen. He understands basic football. I won bets on him at Youngstown State in the lower division playoffs long before he made it to Ohio State. Those games at Youngstown State convinced me we had no idea what we were up again in that Fiesta Bowl. Tressel's teams were extremely well prepared.

He is Butch Davis' age. I don't know the legal aspects but Tressel probably is looking for one ideal location to resume and finalize his career while restoring his reputation. Miami makes sense. I'm sure he doesn't want to get stuck in some place like UNLV, where John Robinson finished.

So we let Golden coach for two more years and make Jim Tessell the HC in waiting?

Would be down with this. He got Ohio State to 3 National Title games coming out of a tougher conference than the ACC.

This is unrealistic in my opinion but let's play out the scenario: He'd recruit his *** off, have us looking like an actual football school again. His offenses were boring at times, but they won A LOT. You think he couldn't take a team with this much talent to a 10-11 win season in this conference?

Here's the thing about the "padded his stats against the Big 10" argument: The Big 10 was overrated, but the ACC is awful.

Purdue, Iowa, Northwestern, Illinois...those are garbage programs, but are they worse than Wake Forest, NC State, Boston College and Duke?

Tressel would for **** sure not be dropping games to Georgia Tech like we just did, and he wouldn't be letting Nebraska run for however many yards they ended up with.

The only teams in this conference we would consistently struggle with would be Florida State and Clemson, and I personally think that he would recruit us enough talent to the point that what used to happen to OSU when they played a fast team wouldn't be the case anymore. Sign me up.

**** no. I'd take Randy back before that guy. That'd be like hiring Doug ****ey when Lou Saban left.

Oh, and Treasell is innosense, guysm!! 3T!! Make upwards of 3 figurines!!!

I didn't know it required a 2 year wait. I don't think Golden will be fired this season anyway.

Most of the names floated around don't interest me. Lots of cupcake offensive coaches. Tressel would restore a physical presence.

The guy can game plan. They rarely if ever lost to teams with lesser talent. They struggled with speed teams from down south but they were always prepared.

I just researched his show clause he can coach th 2016 season. What means if Al Golden is not fired this year but is fired at the end of next year the timing would work out perfectly.

Okay, let me get this straight: Golden gets another year after this disaster, to include a year with no Perryman, no Duke, a still learning Kaaya and his BFF still as DC soooo...We can get the coach who was part of the Terry Porter "buy" (you realize Porter owned a bar in Akron and Tressel is now the University of Akron President, right?), whose "championship season" was one lucky break after another, who knowingly lied to the NCAA in writing and who has as stupid a wardrobe piece (the vest) for South Florida as Goldilocks and his tie.

Okay, based on the merits of your argument, here is my opinion:

Maybe you didn't understand all of my concerns with your proposal :

I want Golden fired now

If they don't fire Golden this year (I am not the AD I can't fire him) we will have other option thats not available this year.

The posts says or suggests nothing else. Thanks for the funny videos.
