Interesting that UF would turn him away when they only have 12 commits. Also surprising that they would take a kid from Wyoming over him....seems like Coker-esque recruiting tactics.

the kid they took from wyoming is playing o-line though they have him listed as a d-linemen. other than that, idk if what is being reported about this situation is true or not. i hadn't heard of justus reed or harris until threads started popping up here on both the last few days lol. i've been following offensive recruiting much more havily. but they supposedly feel good about lorenzo carter too. guess we'll see.

Your buddy, ihatethisplace, was all about Trent Harris for a while. Whenever there was a thread about Keyon Brown and there was mention/concern by Canes fans regarding his interest in UF, ihate would declare that he didn't care for Brown and that he (along with florida) preferred Trent Harris. Don't know if that was just him sticking to his MO of condescension through subtle jabs masked as info or compliments, but it does indicate that Trent Harris has very much been on UF's recruiting radar for a while

probably so. like i said i had heard of neither he nor the commit we just took, reed, until recently and i don't know anything about the news uf would/wouldn't take his commit. i simply haven't been following the d-line recruiting that closely. we need offensive help and that's mainly where my focus has been. i can't speak for ihatethisplace but after seeing harris' clips i could see why he was high on him. harris looks like an ideal 3-4 linebacker with great get off and bend.

funny, because he reminds me of a guy who ended up at miami who i wanted badly at the time, marcus robinson. i felt he should have been a linebacker in a 3-4 as well, harris reminds me a ton of robinson.

Luxuries of having depth on D. I think you're right on Marcus Robinson, he was never able to fully utilize his talents in college

He was never utilized correctly in Randy's scheme. He flashed at times but if an OL got their hands on him, he was done. Which is why he shouldn't have been used as 4-3 DE.

killa1, what's up with Brent Pease missing FNL? he dun goofed?

**** if i know. grier is the only qb we're taking and they're not even looking at other qbs (they should) so maybe that's why he skipped. he's not known as a great recruiter either and coaches are usually on vacation around this time too so that may be it.

maybe this gives some clarity on where your coaches are headed with their scheme. you guys have been recruiting a lot of 3-4 type backers between mccord, bond, smith, harris, etc.

I would like to thank Trent Harris for sticking to his 12pm announcement and not dragging it out for over 30 minutes.

Oh and Welcome to the U
