Weird seeing the final 4 locked in this early

Teams that don’t win their conference should not be allowed in the playoff. The conference is a bracket.
Blanket statement. And I disagree.

Bama shouldn't be in because they got blown out and luckily closed the game to make it respectable.

What should happen is expansion to 8. The p5 get a conf champ in and then there are 3 at large bids. 1st round bye.

An expansion to 8 would be the worst thing to ever happen to college football.

Four is perfect and history makes that clear. Eight neuters the best regular season in sports, adds more undeserving teams and only shifts the argument to the 8-10 spots.

This is exactly right.

I think there are way too many qualified teams in front of them right now to slot them in light.

Their best win will likely be against an 8-4 Auburn team. Weak schedule. They got a ball sack on their chin from LSU. I've got no problem keeping them in the mix...but they need to Rosa Parks themselves at like #10 in the country.

1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Minnesota
5. Baylor
6. Oregon
7. Utah
8. Georgia
9. Oklahoma
10. Alabama
11. Penn State

If Alabama gets in, a lot of **** needs to happen...which is what we should be seeing, and should be reflected in the standings.

Putting them at #5 or whatever is nonsense.

What on their resume right now has them as the 5th best team? People just "think" that based on nothing.

At some point wins and losses need to matter.
You know rosa parks sat at the front of the bus and refused to move to the back. She went to jail for it. Terrible analogy and bama at 10 for losing to the number 1 team in the country. You sir have no clue about pass event or current football events lol

Should be..but will be are 2 diff things.

30 seconds after the loss...there were half of espn and a bunch of sports radio saying...they should now be at 4. 1 of them saying that "if maybe they were beat worse they would be at like 6". Im like huh?. They were down 13 with 1 minute left...before Idiot dc plays press coverage for some obscene reason..they were pretty much handled all game
Not to mention they will use Tua's injury as an excuse, saying he wasn't 100% and if he was things could have be different blahs blahs blah.

Y'all are so dumb sometimes; someone said this earlier, but Bama's best win is going to be against the mighty Auburn Tigers, a team that will probably finish with the same record as us and lost to UFag just like we did (this is not a comparison to Miami but more to just show that Auburn is not a phenomenal football team). This is what the results will look like on Tuesday:

1. LSU
2. Ohio St
3. Clemson
4. Oregon
5. Baylor
6. Alabama
7. Georgia
8. Utah
9. Minnesota
10. Florida

Now Alabama may be locked into that #6 slot, but they have 0 opportunities left on their schedule to improve their resume (which is already pretty *** cheeks). They physically cannot move up unless multiple upsets occur. Bama will want Oregon to win the Pac 12 so they can use their head-to-head victory over Auburn (which I believe will ultimately happen) against Oregon. Utah winning out with a conference championship will put them in over a team who did not even qualify for their conference championship; the committee, as much of an SEC nut-slurping organization as it is, will not be dumb enough to put Bama in over another one-loss P5 conference champion because all **** would break loose from across the country.

Once LSU smacks the ever-living life out of Georgia they'll be way gone as well.

And before you know it, they'll start talking about further expansion.

Any fixed number that doesn't include all conference champions isn't "perfect". The "perfect" format would be one that's fluid and can change based off of the deserving teams (i.e. there are 2 undefeated teams, there should be one playoff game that year). There's too much human error when they select these at-large teams, especially when they're using the "eye test". The next best format would be one that just includes each of the conference champions, so there's less human error. It's only a matter of time before they do this.

Actually, Alabama never had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead. It wasn't exactly "down to the wire".
They were down 2 scores very late in the game. They scored a quick TD to get within 5 and recover an onside kick. That's pretty fcking competative there cheif. There's just no way to say LSU was that much better than bama, that's a real close finish.

Man, that's a stretch.

Alabama looked unprepared and reactive. Just because they scratched and clawed late to make it a game, doesn't mean they "went to the wire" with them.

They kind of looked like ****, man. Back of the bus. If we see ya down the road, we'll see ya down the road, but a lot of **** - most of which is going to be natural due to matchups coming in the next few weeks - needs to happen for that to happen.

They got punched in the mouth by a higher ranked team and came back to get within a TD. If it were anybody but bama everyone would be impressed with that and admit that was a very close game in the end.

But it's bama and they finally lost, so f it they suck. They weren't even close, they blow donkeys and should be ranked #17.

I'm real ****ed that you aholes can't admit that was a close game and now I have to defend bama. Fcking bama of all things.

Well AP refuses to unclamp their jaws from Bama's ballsack despite them losing to their strongest opponent at home. They don't deserve the distinction of Top 4. Alabama is a #5-#10 team until proven otherwise.

Anything happens to Clemson or Ohio State, and Georgia wins a squeaker against LSU..... You know the drill.

Bama has won 5 ncs last 12 years even though it isn't fair.they will be the first 1 loss team in.book it anytime any team ranked in the top 5 loses to another team ranked in the top 5 has a better chance of getting in with 1 loss over a 1 loss team who lost to a team ranked 15th or lower.remember 2017 before the pitt game the analysts said Clemson would still be play-off team if we beat them.

Since when does Alabama celebrate "only being down by two scores"? LSU controlled that game the entire time. Congrats to Alabama for being competitive.
