That was Greg Jones. He was a beast. He weighed at least 250 pounds and ran all over us that game.I still remember Sean Taylor getting trucked by that Florida rb on the long TD run in 2003. Guys get trucked from time to time
I think the big thing is, and I hope its because Simpson can take over that DL room without worry, is that dame pulling OL via CTR treys and powers, the DL had no idea what to do!I‘m sure they’ll test us , I mean I’m sure they watched UNC. They have a completely new offense and skill guys so it would be smart to lean on their ol with a new qb. Especially early. We’ll come out in our base and go from there.
So Harvey, Chantz, Nyjalik, Shamar, Ishamel for 2022 no portal is necessary, but I'm confident in 13, 33, and 12 for this seasonAgree, last couple DE classes have been average at best. We've been fortunate to have above average to elite DEs since Diaz took over but he will need to hit the portal hard for a difference maker, specially if we miss on the 4 2022 south florida studs.
I hear ya but my last image of Zach playing was in the bowl game against Ok St. and he was playing DE and got torched hard... So that's where my head is at with it....I don’t think Zach’s problem is tackling or setting the edge. His issue at LB was play recognition/diagnosis, coverage & lack of lateral quickness/speed.
No I saw it. I'm talking about the Florida game. Dahawn wynn ran for like a 65 yard TD and ran right through Taylor on the way to the tdThat was Greg Jones. He was a beast. He weighed at least 250 pounds and ran all over us that game.
Just to be clear I expect base if its a run set / power look, short yardage or even three wide. The creativity and what I’m exited about is versus spread sets or obvious pass downs. Im sure we won’t defend Bama anything like say a more finesse /pass happy team. That was a blanket statement by me without knowing what formations Bama will use. This is Diaz being gimmicky or incredibly smart. Not sure which one.
I hope they can stop the run with 5 DB’s.
Then left our secondary , that big **** could move before he started eating everything in site.No I saw it. I'm talking about the Florida game. Dahawn wynn ran for like a 65 yard TD and ran right through Taylor on the way to the td
I actually think the run d will be better this season versus last. I expect more discipline , not as much free lancing. If our pass rush is going to be successful we’ll need more from the interior. I do believe the blitz numbers will increase as well as man. It’ll definitely look a little different.I think the big thing is, and I hope its because Simpson can take over that DL room without worry, is that dame pulling OL via CTR treys and powers, the DL had no idea what to do!
If they recognize that and start wrong arming the puller and/or smash the eff out of them (i.e., go and meet them) instead of just getting worried about going vertical and taking themselves out of the play, then I think we have a swingers chance.
When teams ran only zone, i.e., tight and wide, regardless or who gets the ball we did pretty good vs whichever team that was against the run, see Vtech.
If those teams that have pullers we get butt-effed.
Sentence #1 Everyone hates Pope, but he isn’t a bad football player (I agree, but let’s just say U are correct because that take is justifiable): False.Wow. You are delusional and must be trolling. No one agrees with you. I mean, these are seriously bad takes.

Saying I hope to see the young talent emerge towards the top of the depth chart is dumb?a lot of this reaction is dumb.
Carter is good at striker. Not great but good. And he’s heavier than Frierson.
DBs look right. One stud and two pretty good players
As I have mentioned JHH is a potential beast. Rate physical gifts. Just needed to be coached.
On offense…
I see a lineup that is fast, talented and mostly proven on offense. We lost a really good TE that was hurt for 40% of last year. Other than that…
We win the turnover battle, this game is interesting in the 4th qtr.
You can look at the highlights from spring and fall camp and can tell Restrepo is twice the player Pope is… this ain’t rocket science hereSentence #1 Everyone hates Pope, but he isn’t a bad football player (I agree, but let’s just say U are correct because that take is justifiable): False.

: False. So this is just one big conspiracy carried out by our coaches to keep better players off of the field? Makes sense.
So, what's happening then?: False.
Response was not directed at you… apologiesSaying I hope to see the young talent emerge towards the top of the depth chart is dumb?
plus where did I mention Carter? Seems like a new face at that spot to me. Dumbass. We have places to improve how can you watch the games and not say that? ****, LB and and OL improvement would make this team competitive vs the top teams instantly.
He could be, I certainly hope so. I watched him drop a couple passes in drills, reportedly bobbled another into the arms of TAC for a pick 6, and had another drop during one of those scrimmage hype videos. It’s definitely not rocket science, just football. You can look at the highlights from spring and fall camp and can tell Restrepo is twice the player Pope is… this ain’t rocket science here
