Was I Right Or Was I Right?

Recruiting is the most important thing period. He’s got one good class in the books and another one coming this week. Stay or go, we will be talented enough for whatever coach has the ability to coach this team properly in 2022.
Fvck no it's not. That just means he's gonna take kids who have tons of potential and ruin their lives within 2 or 3 years tops. You have to develop the kids you sign. You have to coach kids up and have a clue of what you're doing. Recruiting is certainly necessary. But you gotta back that up with more than the talent they leave high school with. It's crazy people don't get this. Everyone thinks we missing on 90% of our classes. NO WE ARE NOT!!! It's we have coaches that don't know **** they talking about or how to suceed on this field.

I'm wrong all the time. But I have sufficient after the fact self awareness not to start a gloating thread about what I may be right about afterwards.
bro u know and everyone else i been off the Manny wagon day 1. I said he wouldn't win big here I called it, im surprised he got recruits to come is the more shock to me. But hes getting guys SEC schools aint even fighting for and one or 2 studs a class aint going to cut it vs UNC or Clemson. Lets me know when he stacks rosters like bama then ill stfu cause we won with HOFs and First rounders and wins dont make u first round talent on field play makes u a first round talent.

If UNC can pull super classes without doing **** then its not about wins........we need game changers and in cfb game changers is what makes u win at a Miami level (old Miami level) no one will convince me otherwise

I didn’t say manny would coach them up. Just laying a talented foundation for the next coach. We’re here and we better make the most of it. Can’t fix the past.

I don’t know dude but it looks like we know who it’s not.

I'll then rephrase it. What coach who could have beeen hired has a better combo of won loss in year two and incoming recruiting class than Manny?

I prefer to deal in realities we have today than firing after every loss then go chasing unicorns.

In my opinion that means stacking talent on Wednesday, win a bowl game, hope for change on the defensive side, groom DVD, scour the portal for two solid DBs and get ready for 2021.

Hopefully Lovie Smith can save them.

Congrats on being right on something 85% of the board already knew. Most of the knowledgeable posters here were ****ed when Manny was hired. You’re patting yourself on the back about Manny being trash when it was obvious

We can pat mac brown on the back all we want but that dumbass still lost to fsu. if we would have lost to fsu this year this year everyone would have been calling for mannys head regardless if we beat nc.im not defending our coaches because we looked like *** sat but obviously nc underachieved also

see i fuq with u dds but this is what fuqs with me a bit. So if u get talent like a Ray Ray Armstrong and he doesnt perform here......your telling me an NFL HC will bring him into their peaks? So y is it when our players get drafted they still suck? we got a ton of players who went to a number of different coaches around the league and they still are ordinary players. So which is it though???? because if a player is ok here and gets drafted and hes secretly good.....wouldnt it show in the League?

My bad for the ramble im just confused about this

Coaches who can identify talent and coach that talent up. Ask @dsddcane.

I think he’s saying that the next coach will have enough to take a step up. The issue is - what coach are we getting after this???

I was trying to find a P5 head coach who fit the profile of running a consistently good program for the past several years but at a school where one could make the argument that he is doing more with less than his peers (as an indicator of player development). Couldn't find any slam dunk candidates who fit that profile right now. Lots of one hit wonders like Dino Babers but no consistent winners.

Closest two coaches to that are Paul Chryst and Kyle Whittingham. Yes they are having a relatively bad years but this season has been a mess for lots of programs. Neither is Urban Meyer but they tend to have fundamentally sound programs and in not particularly rich recruiting grounds.

I just can't get behind another G5 HC hire or fired former P5 HC at this point.

people used to use the they are performing in the NFL better then here excuse, now thats not the case. They suck period across the board.....before u could argue that if they perform in the league well. NOW U CANT ARGUE that someone has improved when they went to the league, even guys Belichek has liked have flaked out. Bill can coach alot of these NFL HC can coach and they arent doing anything in the NFL at all either

Matt Campbell at Iowa but we won’t get him. Indiana seems to have a good coach. I can get behind another G5 though - one who has HC experience and a track record at that position which Manny didn’t have. @Zbrod95 just named several guys on the G5 level who would probably coach up the talent we have better than what we’re seeing.

If A miami player lets name Jacory Harris and he does **** here and does nothing then goes to the NFL makes 9 pro bowls.....then and only then u can say yo he was under used at UM. Then the argument fits for me at least.
