Lovie Smith me as our new DC/LB coach. Shouldn't be crazy expensive right now either after what went down at Illinois. Immediate upgrade as a defensive leader, teacher, and in-game adjustment handler.

People can say what they want bout lovie as a head coach. But the man can evaluate and coach up talent on the defensive side of the ball. He got the worst of this covid **** out of anyone I can think up. He literally had to start a wr and his fourth string qb at quarterback for him this year not to mention the line issues. Atleast they're being held to a standard whether fans agree or not.

This is a ridiculous contention. Phillips was a top 5 HS player in the country. He had to sit out a full year before coming here. Of course a kid whose been on the sidelines loses bulk. But he wasn't a scrawny kid. He was a top prospect who took 2 years here to rebuild his body.
