Warren Sapps tired

Let's say you buy a car. A used 2001 Dodge Viper GTS. It's a bit worn down, beat up, paint is faded, engine knocks. The last few owners really put it through ****. But you intend to restore it and bring it back to it's former glory. You hire a dude who tells you that he's got the know how and he'll take care of it for you. You give him the go ahead and the next day, he comes barreling up to work on your car in a Mack Truck (license plate DOH-RTO) and proceeds to hammer the **** out of it. It's all mangled on the curb and you are just stunned. While you're standing there in total disbelief, a dog comes walking up and takes a **** on one of the shredded tires.

You start screaming about the dog and how NOW, no one will want to have anything to do with the car because of the dog ****ing on it. That NOW, because of the dog, the car is ruined.

What I'm telling you is the damage has been done. Sapp ****ing on Dorito's defense is like that dog ****ing on your ****ed up car.

I think there was a lot more damage to it than we or he realized when he pulled up in the Mack Truck

Sure. A **** load of damage. But you're upset over a dog ****ing on a wrecked car. The_Damage_Is_Done. Sapp ain't hurting, Sapp ain't helping. If he were to heap praise on Dough-Rita, he'd be called out as a ******* bull****ter (and rightfully so). Dude answered honestly. If someone doesn't want him doing so, regardless of WHEN, then they are just as big a POS as Golden's cabana boy. Only Golden is to blame for holding onto his BFF. If Golden didn't want honest evaluations of his ****headed DCord, he should have gotten rid of him and shown a willingness to make a change for the better. But he didn't. Which means if honest evaluations of the program hurt recruiting, it's on Golden.

That is your outlandish rationalization?

Its more like Golden stole a car (felony) and Sapp stole a Soda (Minor). They're both wrong.

I love the extremes.

So because, although I said it is on Golden and I want a new defense, listened to Sapp again and don't think it was that bad, because I don't like extra negativity toward the program, I am as bad as the Defensive Coordinator everyone hates.

Sounds legit.

I'm gonna laugh my *** off when he puts a solid defense on the field next year, gonna' be a lotta **** sandwiches to eat round these parts.

Warren sappy likes to run his mouth before thinking, and not understanding what damage it is causing to our recruits. AG Penn State get over it!!!! It was his alma mater, who can blame him for listening. Anyone one of us would have done the samething is that situation. Regardless of what happened he decided to stay, done in the past. Now lets move on!!! Now back to this moron warren sappy, with all the BS our Canes had to deal with over the years, anymore negativity is not helping our future to get back on top. Is he entitled to his opinion...yes, but should he just STFU.....yes! Enough already!!!!!

Read it again. If someone doesn't want him to give an honest answer. That's what I said.

Man that was former Florida LB Crowder and his partner asking that question. I'm sure they meant to rustle some jimmies being that he probably hates the canes

I'm gonna laugh my *** off when he puts a solid defense on the field next year, gonna' be a lotta **** sandwiches to eat round these parts.

First of all, define "solid"

Second of all, if you wanna put a lifetime ban bet on it, let's do it.

Say, top 40? and I have no idea what will happen, but I do have a bit more confidence in Golden than most on here in his ability to judge.
I see you're caught up in the desire to fail, I on the other hand prefer to keep a positive outlook on the situation.
You want him to fail so you can be right, I want him to succeed because I love the program.

It's possible he puts up a solid defense next year. I don't think it is possible he puts up a solid defense if he asks next year's personnel to do what last year's personnel was asked to do.

Right.

I am going under the assumption (a logical one, given the evidence I think) that we are not going to adjust anything schematically.

Ability to judge? Like his judgement in keeping the worst defensive coordinator this program has ever seen?

See, this is why it is hard to have a civil conversation with some of you guys. Judgement? You are really going to laud Golden's judgement? What are you basing this "confidence" on?

Granted it's subjective, but I truly believe that there must be something there for him to keep him on staff, I don't think he's willing to lose everything over it.

At this point, it's a fair assumption because we don't have anything that indicates otherwise and we do have some commentary that indicates support of what we're doing.

Dude, I don't think they know that this is actually fact. I think they think people say this as a knock on Golden.

4canes, they actually ARE best friends. Which is why Sapp's comments were on point. Don't hire someone you can't fire.

maybe he knows something we don't know, or just don't want to accept.. our senior talent on that side of the ball sucked. Maybe, and this is pure conjecture, he and D'onof were able to build a good defenses in a previous lifetime and had success together which they feel they can replicate, and it just takes time to recruit to the system and build up our talent and depth?

cro·ny·ism (krō′nē-ĭz′əm)
n.
Favoritism shown to old friends without regard for their qualifications, as in political appointments to office.

Sounds like Obama to me. Some of his appointments were totally unqualified for the job he gave them. But then, he wasn't qualified to be president either.

That's my hope. I'm not blind, but I have faith...what choice do I have?
