Walter Football Has Kaaya As #1 Player In '17 Draft

As of now I don't see that happening unless he makes a SIGNIFICANT step forward with Richt. I love Brad and think he's a great QB, and if he continues the trend he's on then I can see him going in the first few rounds, but #1 pick? as of now, no

Love Kaaya. He is legit. Should be careful leaving early, though. There are way more failures than successes of QBs that leave college early for the pros. There are a lot of articles out there on this topic.

I just don't see a number one pick in him. He's too stiff and while he made a few plays on the move, you simply cannot have such a big liability and expect to be taken number one. I don't even see a first, second, or third round pick as things are right now, but hopefully that all changes with Richt.

Kaaya has been very good with bad coaching for two years. Let's see what he does with solid coaching around him and then we can make an argument. You can count on 1 hand how many players have stood out since Golden's era. Denzel, Duke, Hurns. Denzel really might be the only defensive player who had stood out on consistent basis since Golden came. I don't know if that's more coaching or the players we've had, but I think coaching has a lot to do with that.

Laugh at me if you want but I see a lot of Brady in Kaaya. I wouldn't be surprise if belicheck trades up to draft him.

Let's not forget that freakin' Ryan Tannehill was the 8th overall pick. The NFL obviously values (perceived) potential at that position very often over actual college success and stats.

Tannenhill was the 8th pick because the dolphins needed a qb and sherman who was his hc at a&m was the oc with the dolphins. Most people had him as a 2nd round pick.

Kaaya just needs to get stronger. I don't think he has a #1 pick arm in his future but he certainly doesn't have one now. His anticipation is outstanding for such a young guy and in the NFL that will improve his game immensely. He just needs to fill out his frame. His progressions have improved so much it's very impressive.

Didn't know he was that well versed in Football Scouting; always thought he was a dummy.

Hurns went as an UFA. We had an unnamed top 10 pick (EF) and another first rounder (PD) go under golden. Just a thought

Yeah, yeah. Todd McShay had Stephen Morris as his #1 QB going into his senior year. Things change, we shouldn't be looking that far ahead. Kaaya wouldn't be making a good decision to leave after 3 years, but I'm sure there will be plenty of other factors that go into his decision like how the O-line plays next year. He took a beating this year.

Love Kaaya, but I don't see any way he's a #1 overall pick with his horrific athleticism. I haven't seen many guys ever get more out of their limited physical ability than he does.

He's a champion, and I hope to **** we have for 2 more years. Can't wait to see what he can do with a real offensive staff. If Richt can revert back to his days of calling plays at FSU, I'll have a permanent erection watching Kaaya distributing in that offense. Remember what Richt did with Grandpa Weinke?

The kid from Clemson is the best QB in nation, and will be number 1 pick.

Can he read a defense? Does he understand pro concepts? Can he play from under center? He has played in that type of offense since high school and those will be questions nfl people have about him.

Peyton Manning? Can't run, average arm in his prime, and below average arm while in denver but is one of the best qbs of all time.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of this. The resident scouting directors here told me he was garbage, soft and not elite. This is a mistake.

I never understood this soft talk. In his first game as a true frosh on the road, he got hit 17 times that game and got up and kept playing. The fsu game this year they were in his face all night annd the guy brought the team back and took the lead.

I was at this game. Sitting next to Dukes peeps. I remember them getting mad at coley/golden for leaving duke and kaaya out to dry. Dukes mom been vocal about her displeasure with the coaching for a while. lol

stacy coley got drilled by Burgess in that game too. lol

I remember kaaya taking a brutal lick and you can tell it was a "welcome to CFb" type of hit. His eyes were big AF.

Manning's athleticism coming out of UT blows Kaaya's away. You're thinking of the broken down 40 year old 45 neck surgeries later.

Lol. Yea i was little when peyton came out of college. I rember him with the colts for majority of the time and he looked a liitle more mobile.

What about phillip rivers? That guy is a stiff ****** statue but is pretty **** good.

I am no way saying Watson is as good as the other post states but some of your comments seem questionable. For one, why would he not be able to read defenses and what makes Kaaya better at it? Can Kaaya player from under center as it seems like most of his success came out of the pistol. So what if he has played in a similar offense since HS as it means nothing other than he can run that offense. 41 touchdowns compared to 14 and you want to act like he can't play in the league in 2 years but Kaaya is going 1st round? Who knows where they will end up in 2 years but at this point Watson almost won the Heisman so give the kid a break.
