Very poor crowd yesterday

Maybe if they give away free whoppers with a ticket purchase...

exactly. This is nothing new. It dates back to the OB and the beginning. 1230 kick off. No championship at stake. Game on TV and plus my son's Soccer game. I'm good

And we still caused 3 penalties with sound echoing under that contraption ( motion / delay game) which is what we all wanted ; eat shot op

Coaches got to really work on recruits cause they looking at them empty seats and then visit an SEC game and see double or triple fans in seats. Fickle fan base for sure only supporting team if playing for championship.

I expected worse. The fans that were there made a lot of noise. The stadium is significantly louder. I saw a few pitt linemen pointing to their ears after penalties. They couldn't hear

I was there. I expected worse to be honest but still disappointing to see it half empty. That was a fun game to watch.

Although it is significantly louder that occurred because we blast music in between every play.

^Wrong!!!! We blast music change of possession and tv to; those penalties were on drives where the crowd got involved mostly 3rd downs ; take your fictional *** hatedness back to yo mommas basement .

Glad I went and it wasn't as empty as it looked. Yes lack of replays needs to be addressed.

Our Fan base is still soft.

I had a good time nonetheless

After over a dozen years of crap the fan base is amazingly good. Should have been in OB in the 70's. You could have planted an acre tomatoes and not lost one to a footprint. Miami is not Happy Valley and The U doesn't have 100,000 alum within driving distance. Had Mark beat noles and a two of the other loses, place would have been packed pretty good. Did you notice how empty Michigan and swamp were when they were loses a couple years ago? MI had been selling out 100k forever until suddenly the fans had enough.

This. We need to be relevant for more than 4 weeks to get people excited again. Can't erase 10+ years of garbage football overnight. When we consistently put a quality product on the field, people will want to be there.

Definitely the smallest crowd of the year, but also definitely MUCH better than a Pitt game would have drawn the last few years. Considering the 4-game losing streak and the rain, I was pretty impressed with the turnout, tbh.

The fan base has proven they will come out and support a Richt-coached team -- just look at how good the crowds were for FAMU and FAU. Come back next season with optimism again and then WIN, and you'll have nice big crowds to close out the year. Come out and lose, and obviously the crowds will dwindle.

Dude, people ain't supporting bad football. Miami will support a winner, not a loser.

Bull we won 58 straight games at OB and only sold out 13 of them and that was vs UF, FSU, ND, Okl, Neb and Penn State. Whiners not winners always use the same excuses.

Miami is a city that will back a winning team but you go and lose 4 straight they will find something else to do with the weekend.
Most big cities work that way..
College towns have nothing else to do.. kind simple

Interesting. Paid attendance yesterday was 51,796. For a 4-4 team at a 1230 game.

This was more than 4 of our 6 home games for the 2001 team that was arguably the best team in CFB history.

Also more than 3 of our 6 home games for the 2003 team that won the conference and won the Orange Bowl.

We won yesterday and looked good doing it people just looking for something to ***** about. I was at the game and yes there slot of empty seats but it was stil a nice crowd given the circumstances.

Yawn. Either go to the games or don't, but save the history lesson and excuses.
