That's pretty much what recruiting is. Not saying Al is there yet, but selling BS is what really good recruiters do.

I think it's a case of he's been on campus unofficially. LSU no doubt rolled out the red carpet and made him feel special.
Coral Gables probably feels pretty normal to him at this point. We have to make him feel like he's the most important recruit in this class to have a shot at flipping him. Red carpet, sorority girls, 5 star restaurant - the works.

Apparently Valentine hasn't done enough of that already. Valentine said while he's bonded with the coaches at UM, he hasn't felt the same "bonding experience" with Canes players and recruits. He said the reason his trip to LSU was special was because he did feel that bonding experience with a few former South Floridians who now call Baton Rouge home.
Valentine called that "a really big" factor.
"Team bonding," Valentine said when asked what he's ultimately looking for before making a final decision. "I want to bond with the team. I want everything to be good, a family situation when I get there.
Personally, I think that is the reason our team has sucked the past couple of years...I don't think we have bonded like we need to to be an elite team. I would be willing to wager (if I were a betting man) that team chemistry is why we got our lunch eaten on national TV. I coach myself and I know for a fact that coaches/coaches have to bond, coaches/players have to bond, and also players/players have to bond. As a player, I have to know where my other teammates are on the field and I have TRUST that they are gonna get their jobs done, as a good teammate I must do my job because my teammates are depending on me. Coaches won't let me play if my grades are bad or if i skip classes, if i do these things then i've let my teammates down PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Big ups to TV for making them show him that he would be apprecited for being there.

I think maybe for a couple reasons TV's recruiting has raised a couple of red flags. Again, these are 'maybes' as to why it seems like an excuse. 1. He was committed to um for a while. If u like other schools, that's cool bro. But maybe look and take visits and then commit. A player as good as TV will always 'have a spot' and doesn't need to necessarily commit to keep a spot in a class. 2. It's Lsu. Maybe he got paid...maybe not. But no one can deny they are notoriously shady. 3. He seemed to be weary right around the gold/psu dance. IMO, commit to a school, not a coach. Coaches move around all of the time in college football. It's just how it is.
Anyways, just a few things of why the 'maybes' of TV might need to to explain. Not that he owes us as fans or anything...but I'm just saying its why we ask the questions.

Gaillard, TV, Scarborough, Lenius? Who else? Would be nice to have some commits peppered in there to build camaraderie.
Hope Howard and Bush and Duke and Artie and Malcolm are in good spirits this weekend and are in the mood to hang out with a very fickle and very large young man. Maybe sing some kumbaya to seal the deal.
