Update on BOT / AG info from TG on CS

Games. When one who technically works for you, and won't do what needs doing, but you can't fire him right then, well, there are options.

First, the university can make a power play that pulls the teeth of Golden. He's real proud, too stubborn, and won't be able to handle anyone usurping his authority. So while he's technically the Head Football Coach, you hire a Co-Head Football Coach, and designate that the new Co-Head Football Coach is to take over all football responsibilities, freeing the Head Football Coach to handle promotions, speak to booster groups, and give public statements.

He just got relieved of all duties, but he hasn't been fired. He's still getting his checks, but he's not getting the buyout. It's a public embarrassment, and something if he wants to stay, can just choke on.

In the meantime, Butch can fire and hire the Coordinators and coaching staff, as his duties will be to run the football program.

Golden will be forced to choke on the public embarrassment of being paid - for doing nothing - or arranging a more acceptable buyout for UM. And in the meantime, Butch is right in the driver's seat, recruiting, and preparing for a run at the National Championship.

***** the $8M buyout. That won't happen. Golden can even be promoted to HFC and AD in name only. The AD we have now has no authority, so Golden can sit in his symbolic chair.

I don't think that has ever happened before. I would imagine that coaching contracts have clauses to prevent such a mess from happening. Golden's agent is too astute for that to let slide. Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure he's the one who's been coaching Folden to say all this crazy **** so he can get his buyout.

I need this guy fired before "The U" Part 2 comes on ESPN. We can hire Butch and point to his 2nd coming as the true RENEWAL of the program.I'm sure Corben would love that ending better than this ****!

Talk espn to buy out his contract saying how many more people would watch the U 30 for 30 and the ratings would be ridiculous.. **** i would buy a dvd copy if they sold it. They could go ahead and start selling national championship memorabilia for 2015-2016.

Finally something from you I can agree with. Great idea.

I guess, if true, it shows our Admin does care about football and so does the AD. There hands are tied to an extent. If he does leave/fired I will take back all the bad things I have said.... Maybe

What dont you agree with that I've said? I have been saying basically the same as everyone else here

Jeebus some people really do live in fantasy world. You all realize that the BOT is made up for successful professional people, socialites, philanthropists, community and business leaders, etc. These people are not frothing football fanatics that are going to start some sort of scorched Earth war over firing the HC. They may end up with a tense situation, bad blood, a lame duck toxic environment, but they are not going to breach a contract if they are on the hook for 8 million bucks, or create some sort of 3 ring circus to destroy Golden from within.

Worst case scenario is they will just accept next year will be a disaster and pull the trigger next year when the buyout is less. But they are not going to start WW3 because fans are angry about a failed football coach. That would be an embarrassment to the University and pretty much the LAST thing they want.

If they keep him, then its almost certainly because of the money issue. They may realize he's failed, but they aren't displeased enough that they will eat a massive buyout if its around 8M. 8M for UM is not chump change. Yes they have the money, but would they really commit that much to fire a coach? I don't see it. 4-5 would be a stretch, but at least fathomable.

All this other stuff is just delusions and fantasy. This is going to come down to money. If the choose, in the end, to not eat the buyout this year, which I don't think they will, they are just going to sit back and write off next year, and deal with the situation then. They are not going to engage in some sort of guerilla war against a football coach to pressure him out and all that other stuff.

Yes.

if golden was smart he would be trying to work out a nice little deal with oregon state or Colorado state. he doesn't have much longer here.
You know your an incompetent dbag when your the head coach at the U and your secretly negotiating with Org st and colo st. Even his dumb, stubborn fat *** would look back and say "boy was I a dumb mother ******."

Yes.

What exactly is the buyout difference between this year and next year? Would we be saving enough to overcome the implications of retaining Folden another year? I'm thinking the hit in recruiting, national perspective of program, another year of empty seats at SLS, etc. is not worth it.

AG holds all the cards..... if we want change we have to pay do not think HC change really changes things all that much
BOT/AD need to fund coaches staff salaries and improve facilities period.can not return to glory days w/o investing $$$$$ in program

PErsonally, if this takes two more weeks of ****ing at each other to play out and in the end we get him gone and the buyout is less, fine by me. Not sure what big a deal will make if everyone is all about Butch or Schiano. My guess is if they are true options they too have been told to "stay tuned"

seems like best of both worlds.

If I was the AD/BOT I would fire at least Jethro and Williams, then see if AG has the balls to sue and ruin his Football coaching career.

Lol sue for what?

If All has it in his contract that he has final say in his assistants then he could sue for breach of contract.

You think some piddly detail like that could stop ME?

So you let Golden have the redshirt freshman team for an hour a week, with his coaches, and Butch gets his staff and the team the rest of the time.

Divide. Splinters - every contract has them, since every contract relies on the fact that both sides are being reasonable. You can find flaws and cracks as fast as you want to in any contract.

You put Golden in charge of the University of Miami Touch Football team, and let Butch have the other. But you can't help if the funds available for the Touch Football Team are lesser than the other football team.

You put Butch in the Coach's Office, and Golden in a partition in the sihtter. With a phone and computer.

I haven't even delved into this, but I know you can drive anyone off - the moment you decide to.

I know I could.

These are not my words but TG's

He's a booster.

I'm a booster, this post is garbage

Not very encouraging

Just repeating the info posted on another site from a guy who has always had good info and claims to be a booster. I could give exactly two ****s about what you think of me. I think we are all in this together.

I have absolutely 0 idea on anything except the coach of my favorite team is pure sh2t. I have no connections to anyone in the know. I hope the guy you speak of has legit info, would be great if that's the case, it means someone gives a ****

If we get thrashed in a bowl game I just really can't see him coming back. 6-7, I mean the administration is bad but they cant be this bad can they?

Can't fire him after a bowl game. Doesn't give new guy enough time to recruit.

It's this week or never.
