We're dealing with incompetent morons here. Don't put it past them to bring this abomination of a coaching staff back next season.

In all honesty we should organize some sort of protest outside the gates on gameday. Tell everyone you know not to buy tickets and simply show up to tailgate and then protest. Don't even bother attending the actual game.

We need to find any way possible to bring public embarrassment their way.

Given what we know about UM's past contracts, I have to guess that goldens buyout would be in the $6 million range. That's the type of dollar amount that makes trustees want to come out (anonomously-lol) and try to drum up a year's worth of support for golden.
 
The next BOT meeting is October 24th. Nothing nicer than VT whooping our *** on National TV, AGAIN. Best believe the talks will start growing from there. Then once FSU runs up the score on us, it will do it.
 
I don't believe all of that. I think it was just a few a$$holes decided some damage control should be done, and so they wanted to get everyone to taper off on the FIRE AL GOLDEN talk, and also they apparently wanted the Butch Davis talk to stop.

Just to mention Butch was specifically addressed - putting the muzzle on the two most discussed topics these days around the UM football program.

Odd. Nothing was said there that was so bad their identities had to be withheld. I get real suspicious when "unnamed sources" speak a bit freely.

Are we sure this didn't come from DBC? Sounds like it.
 
I see there using the he got handed a bad deal and stayed threw the investigation crap as an excuse. Saying we don't have the same caliber players is idiotic. Guys like Howard, Burns, Bush, Carter, chickillo, McCord , elder, perryman all had there picks to go where they pleased and were all top recruits. Having that much talent on the field and We're getting these types of results. It's makes no sense at all. Next year when they see a record low in season ticket sales they'll realize they made a mistake.

If UM admin doesn't fire him, Miami will have shown it is a racist school, and she can live out the rest of her days known as a racist **** troll.
 
If a change is eventually made, one trustee said do not look for Butch Davis to get the job. (Former UM player Joaquin Gonzalez said Davis, now with ESPN2, “would take the job in a heartbeat.”)

The trustee said Davis not only angered people with the way he left UM for the Cleveland Browns, but there are serious concerns about his departure from North Carolina under the cloud of an academic misconduct scandal. (Davis wasn’t implicated by the NCAA.)

Guys this article made me think about our situation. They are right. We should stop focusing on this fire golden stuff and address the real problem.

In that spirit, let get a fire the trustees banned ready for tomorrow too.
 
I was encouraged by that article. No glowing endorsements to be found. Trustees already expressing to the media their frustration with the Imposter and we're only halfway through the season. Just wait until Dalvin Cook ****es all over our yard and FSU eviscerates us on national TV.

Whatever embarrasses the program and administration at this point is a good thing for the Canes. These guys are only going to act if the heat gets unbearable.

There are differences. Randy did not have a NCAA investigation and sanctions to deal with during his 4 years. Like it or not, it bought AG goodwill and sympathy. Randy quit recruiting. He put all of his eggs in the MNW basket, and they got scrambled. AG has done a decent job repairing that damage. The only similarities are on the field, and those are not good similarities.
 
Barry Jackson is a world-class thief right now with his job at the Herald. I am impressed. That article stinks of bull**** and guesses that sound reasonable.

I hope you realize that Donna is one of the most liberal individuals around. She bleeds democrat....to say she is racist would make no sense what so ever. I don't like her, golden, or Dorito, but the notion that racism is involved here is stupid. The reason why Golden will get another year is because he had to deal with sanctions to turn the program around, Randy did not. That is all....literally it's that simple. And while I don't agree with her logic, I don't think anyone can change her mind.

As long as you understand that your version is not the favorite. On site after site the other Herald sportswriters are condemned while Jackson is praised. Since he's an alumnus who has worked for the primary media outlet in town for more than two decades, I'm confident he has sources, and better ones than anyone here. This has been his style throughout. If he were making stuff up, examples would have surfaced, combined with ridicule, and he'd have that reputation along with forfeiting sources.

Look, this is a point in time column and quote. Obviously a trustee who feels than way now can swing depending on outcome of a handful of games, notably the conference tests against teams on our basic level, like Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Virginia. A sweep or 1-3 there might doom Golden. But unlike others here I'm not going to doubt that the board of trustees is not exactly unanimous in condemnation of a guy who has built up good will for years and whose three losses are all road games as underdog with a true freshman quarterback.

This week we face a pantyhose passing team at home. That's a likely victory. It's really the only remaining game on our schedule in which a loss would be similar, if not worse, than Shannon's defeats at Virginia and hosting South Florida in 2010.
