U of Mich to Hold Spring practice in FL (holy Crap)

If this gets approved, what would stop MSU, OSU, Penn State, WVU, VTech, etc.. from doing the same?

How can this possibly pass the litmus test of the school not providing extra benefits for the players (ie transportation and housing etc) and on top of that not violate the amount of practice time allotted by the NCAA missed class time etc?

To be fair, it would be easy for FL schools to negative recruit against this.

"Come play in Florida: The only state where other programs spend millions just to come practice".

Welcome the practice, then the Big 3 make fun of them at every turn, billboard signs to the like of "Michigan, so chitty, even they don't like it there" and "Even Michigan wishes they were in Florida". Turn the tables on em, make fun of it, point and laugh. Harbaugh is an A type personality, he'd snap at a full court press on it.

Brilliant

That's cute and all until hs coaches start getting their *** kissed.

If this was true it would only play into our biggest negative recruiting tool over Michigan.

I mean if the coaches would rather be in Florida, why shouldn't you?

I also think it make no sense for them... Time to get those pups used to the freezing weather now.

One of the warmest winters in northeast and Midwest but UofMichigan, after fielding one of the most successful college football programs in the last 100plus years, comes to the realization that they can't do spring practice because of weather........yeah, makes sense.

and if you have a problem with it, blame Steve Walsh.

He runs the IMG football program.

Why would anyone blame Steve Walsh, this wouldn't be his call. The approval would come from their administration and they would be fools to pass up the opportunity as I'm sure it has money attached to it.

We should get a big group of miami fans to show up in miami gear with signs and banners.

No offense, but good luck. Some tried to organize public gatherings to get rid of Al during last basketball season and couldn't even get a handful to show up. This is a drop in a bucket in comparison of importance, so good luck with that.
