I think we should take them all including going full court press on Anthony. It’s worth taking a flyer on the fastest kid in the state to land Campbell and Surtain. At worst he helps the track team tremendously. If we show them all love they’ll come. There’s something to be said about keeping winners together. The Richt Heritage class should surpass the Shannon Northwestern one.

Will probably have him go public after JoRbe decommits

Lol

What’s your issue with Campbell and thinking he’s not coming here? The guys who are paid to predict where prospects are going all say Miami and they’ve said it for about 2 months now. He’s flirted with LSU and that died down, Flirted with OSU and that died, and there hasn’t been anything about UGA for the last month and we were the last game he visited and that was with a bum ankle. Everybody thinks he’s coming to UM but you and the best you can say is “even his own kin doesn’t know where he’s going”.

no issue, hope i'm wrong, just dont think he's coming. And his supposed kin has been acting for months like he knew he was leaning here, but he really has no clue and admitted so after another poster put screenshots up of Campbell's mom saying she doesnt know where he's going either..

When a local high profile kid plays it this close to the vest, its usually because he doesn't want to deal with the local backlash from choosing to go somewhere else. I think he just wants to get away from home. I also think he's handled it like a smart young man would, unlike trolls like Jobe.

Facts. This ain’t hard when you take emotion of your favorite team out of it. Hometown team doesn’t have it locked up yet, be wary. Campbell handles it the way everyone wants, hope UM comes through in the end.

Can't argue with that.

From Ivins: Last week Miami sent Manny Diaz, Ephraim Banda, Mike Rumph and Kuligowski all to meet with Tyson Campbell, Nesta Silvera, Patrick Surtain Jr. and Andrew Chatfield the first day that the coaches were out on the road. Multiple sources have stated that those conversations went well especially with Silvera who continues to tell the Hurricanes he's solid on his pledge to the local school despite increased interest from other programs like Florida. It was previously reported that Silvera would take his official visit to Miami this upcoming weekend, but with him not expected to sign early, it looks like he will be in Coral Gables at some point in January for a 'special weekend' of sorts with the rest of the American Heritage kids.

One source added that he thinks Surtain Jr. is still probably a long shot to end up at Miami given the possibility that his dad could be hired as a 10th assistant at a college next month, but the Hurricanes do appear to have picked up some recent traction in the recruitment. Campbell continues to keep quiet, but we have heard conversations between him and Rumph have gone great. Alabama and Georgia remain the biggest threats to Miami. Chatfield's mom likes UM's academics and is a fan of the school's graduation rate for student-athletes. The former Ohio State commits has the Hurricanes in his his Top 4 along with Florida, LSU and Oklahoma.

Gut feeling: We get 3/4 of the Heritage kids. Hard to keep Surtain from going to his dream school even on a down year, look no further than a guy like Duke or walton.
