Samson and McCoy might have to ride the bench for another year: if rivers leaves, I’m guessing Samson will get a look at LT but Samson still needs some work.

I think the staff is limiting him to prevent injury. He’s a beast.

Emory Williams looked serviceable, he’s no where near TVD at this time. He’s young, not fazed and is only getting better.

I take it Skinner is third string now. That was a surprise to me, thought we would see more of him. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get salty and transfer.

I don’t like to knock or call out young players that are just getting started but 39 needs to pick his game up. Offsides, missed tackles, still so under sized. It’s no wonder you’re wearing 39 my guy.

You can’t take anything else away from this game, except our OC might be mad man from running Tyler 2X on the first drive in a meaningless scrimmage.
No harm, so no foul.

Good game.. We got some good young ballers.

Now we sit back and watch UF lose, and BC get an upset.

All good points. I'll add Young to the, what happened tonight big fella list. His head was not in the game with a few critical mental errors. Hopefully its a learning lesson for him as we will need him come October!

2. Washington looks like he has amazing short line quickness. It stood out on his receptions. Also I noticed from the Texas A&M game that he seems tight with Dawson based on how he was celebrating with him after a score.

Very happy to see McCoy come in and do his thing even if it was BCU. Keep getting the kid reps he will be needed this year

Maybe Rodriguez can keep getting better and be the 8th but yeah it’s really ugly after that. Kind of surprised kinsler isn’t getting any PT. Is he injured or just way far off from being ready

Looks like McCoy is well position and ready to take the place of Cohen or Rivers if he goes to the NFL.

Samson still needs some development but hopefully by next year he’s ready to takeover a starting spot too

Kinsler got like one drive, so TBD on him. Looks huge though
 
A number of young guy showed something last night.
beyond the obvious’ Bain, CJ, Emory;

LB Washington had a nice hit off the edge and did a great job of saving the TD on the wheel route.
WR Washington had 2 catches and showed good quickness after the catch
Pulliam can really run and has good closing speed
Damari Brown had a good hit off the edge
Jadais Richard, after initially playing soft made a nice INT (negated by an offsides call on Moss)
Jaden Wayne had a number of good tackles and is looking at more PT
Ray Ray is quick as lightning but needs some thrown downfield, not just jet sweeps

I’ll attribute this to first game experience and not being 100% sure what he was doing. Only reason I say that is his athleticism shouldn’t be an issue but if hes lost he will look slow for sure. Basically how everyone on the team looked last year and now you’re seeing guys playing much faster this year

I think he was in the wrong spot last night his high school highlights were him dominating from the edge just attacking
