1. Persistence matters. A lot of people clowned the staff for continuing to recruit Avantae Williams, Jaylan Knighton, Chantz Williams and Jalen Rivers. Our coaches were on those guys for 3+ years. At various points, it looked like we would miss on all four. Now they are Hurricanes. Relationships matter and things can change quickly.

2. Paradise Camp is an NSD preview. If you want to see what our class will look like, go to Paradise Camp. This year, we had TVD, Worsham, Avantae, Rivers, Chris Washington, Clarke, Balom and more. We need to continue to devote resources and efforts to that event because we get return on investment.

At the end of the day, we lost to FIU and still finished with the 12th ranked class. The U brand remains strong after 15 years of struggle. Win and they will come.

You forgot to add the most important thing:

If you try your very hardest, you may just be able to overcome the massive story and obvious permanent stain cast on this program when the 49ers had to replace our field.

#hottakes

Shannon brought in a #1 class after a **** year
That was a talented class... but it was also an abnormally large class that took in 30 kids helping to boost it up...

Plus let’s not pretend that the 2000s early teams weren’t in the minds of those 2008 graduates when they committed wanting to be the next andre Johnson’s, Portis, reed and Taylor’s to bring us back to the top

Early signing day certainly helped a ton. Fill you needs early and chase that one or two big fish in February. I thought Avantae Williams was an incredible long shot but I didn't feel the staff was wasting time making the final push. Especially since the class was pretty much full already.
