TVD observation

I think he’s going to be a great CFB and eventually a 1st rd pick. Very gifted, athletic, can makes plays on the move, not afraid of big moments, doesn’t have happy feet, and a big arm. I like him a whole lot.

First start on the road, abd made some freshman mistakes, as expected, but showed me a lot. You can also tell he’s a very good leader.

He can correct the side arm throwing motion and mechanics in an off season. Josh Allen corrected his throwing motion after his rookie year

manny is gonna start tvd this year amd his excuse is that he had to play a new qb and that he needs more time
The admin will sell this plus how we were “so close” and only a few plays away from a completely different record
Then manny will start Garcia next year and if he fails he’ll use the I had to start a new qb excuse again
I’m telling u guys as much as we hate it
Manny is not going anywhere

The admin is looking for any excuse to keep manny

Garcia will transfer. He is a Diva and will not handle going into next year having to compete for #2 spot with incoming freshman..

He’s a slow starter on a slow starting team. It’s a disaster in the making. Can’t afford to have a QB that doesn’t show up until halftime when we’re almost guaranteed to already be down 2 scores by then.

He seems to have a bit of a side arm motion in his release. Might be reason for some of the bat downs. Is this correctable, or is it what it is at this stage..

Seems to?

I said that from day one, when I first saw his clips. I thought this would be corrected once he got here, but that would mean he's had competent coaching. Silly me.

I’d have to rewatch the game I was drunk by the 3rd quarter. TVD had some rough throws but I remember his OL getting crushed. Donaldson being the worst 5 star Ive ever watched

Ding, Ding, Ding.

We scored 42 points. Yet, we lost.

Ken Doresy as a freshman. His first start on the road:

Att - 17
Comp - 6
Yards - 45
Longest - 13
INt - 1

Yep. He sucked. Too bad the portal wasn't around then, so we could have kicked his *** to the curb.

SMFH. These people who never played or coached the position need to go.

Surprised to see the TVD slander. I was impressed by him.

This is a RS freshman who's had all of 1 real CFB game under his belt (CCSU does not count). He didn't expect to play a down this year, and here he is thrust into a truly awful position as a team and program, with a dead man walking at HC. Yes, the INTs were bad but he didn't get down on himself and gained confidence as the game went on. Some of the missed throws were disappointing but this is game 2 of this freshman's career. Relax the measuring stick. He throws a tremendous deep ball. And I was very impressed not only with his ability to scramble and run, but on multiple occasions he felt pressure, moved and got rid of it. He's got a bright future. He balled out yesterday. He took some big licks late and kept sticking his neck out.

Not everything that is a part of this program merits *****ing and complaining.

That is very fair. But I would argue you can't teach his arm talent, his height, or even his athleticism on his runs and getting out of blitzes with a shrug. Kid walks onto the field with that.

it is unbelievable to me, the reaction to TVD. yes, he made a bunch of freshman mistakes and he'd be the first to tell you that.

but unlike the many years of crap we've had at QB, where we had guys who had poor arms, lousy work ethic, were unprepared, weak intellects, smoked too much weed, and had no mental toughness, ..... we finally get a kid with NFL measurables, who is a workaholic, smart, even keeled, athletic, cool under pressure, mentally tough, holds himself accountable, and is a coachable "team first" guy that couldn't give a monkey's nuts about his instagram account of whether his latest tweet is trending.

what happens? people who have no clue about the QB position ....(because they never played and coached it at the college level), want to dump sludge on him because he's not Dan Marino in game 3 of his freshman year.

I think it's pretty clear: the internet sucks

Erratic as fvck, misses too many easy throws.. He had Knighton wiiiiiiide open before the tipped INT and he throws him a grounder, Knighton probably scores or atleast gets it on goalline steps.. He misses ALOT of east throws, guys on slants have to reach back, stop completely, misses low alot, ground balls, not in stride, guys having to slow down on fades, etc...

Not sure if you can experience that away.. just bad fundamentals like he didnt have a qb coach growing up and just a qb in backyard..

Seems like a gamer and he cares so thats good and he seems athletic enough to hurt with legs but man can you win with a qb who misses soo many easy throws
Spot on. Kid played his *** off

Just not sure that’s enough to be a legit college QB. But it was good to see some emotion from someone on the team

Not sure what some people are seeing. He had some really good throws that are “nfl throws” but he had quite a few where the WR was wide the F open and he missed them. And severely underthrows every deep ball. Needs a lot of work for a guy touted as being so accurate

TVD made mistakes, threw interceptions , missed some throws and didn’t always go through all the progressions.

Didnt get shaken, battled back , completed some extremely nice passes and made some excellent choices when escaping the pocket. The kids a fighter and only got stronger as the game went on.

First start on the road as a freshman. I can see he has the goods to be very successful.

give me 22 starters like this as freshman and I’ll guarantee many many wins in the upcoming seasons.

Batted balls is a concern but that’s something that can be worked on. However, poor Ball placement and inability to throw an accurate deep ball are biggest concerns.

Thought he played great in the second half and showed up in the 4th qtr. The last play was not on him. As for his future, next HC should enjoy working and developing him to greater heights.

Look forward to the future and knowing Manolo Diaz will not be around! F that POS, Diaz that is…
