Tulane's #1 Choice Is Dawson

It’s always funny to me that as fans of any program, we separate the good ****, from the bad ****, when it comes to the new guy we want to hire. 🤣😂🤣. It be like, “Man that Dawson guy got Miami’s offense humming..
“**** yeah, guy can scheme up some ****.”
“There was one 4 game stretch where he didn’t average but like 21ppg, though”
“yeah, that was Mario sticking his nose in the offensive play calling again.”
“Yeah u probably right. The last 4 weeks was definitely all Dawson, though.”

This always made me laugh because if people would of done their homework on Dawson and his time at Houston they'd know it wasnt Mario sticking his nose in the playcalling

Lol boy... some of y'all act like good OCs grow on trees. Him leaving would hurt us more than help because y'all know how long the process takes for Mario to hire his coaches. Probably would lose out on any top transfer QBs

I'm sure plently of people at Tulane want Dawson, but it should be noted that they have more money to pay a head coach than they ever have. They can swing a little bit here

Tulane was paying Sumrall over $3 million. They offered him over $4.5 million to turn Florida down. I highly doubt they'd pay Dawson or any coordinator that much (which is why they're looking HC not coordinator).

Guys in here criticizing Gundy but…..
Mike Gundy's Oklahoma State offense has had varied rankings year-by-year, but has frequently been among the nation's best, with the
team ranking in the top 10 in scoring offense six times and total offense seven times during his tenure.

yea terrible hire 🙄🙄 without Miami level recruits
Disappointed Man GIF

Depends on who you bring in. Bring in a Gattis type offense and yeah it’s gonna be hard to sell. Bring in a guy from a hot offense and it will sell itself. Just needs to be done quickly so we’re not into January waiting on a QB. I’d go after the OC from North Texas.

Would also add they run a similar power air raid system just with more of a spread look and tempo.

I agree but that's actually my point.... when has Mario ever been quick with his hiring process???
