Baker played linebacker at Tulane. He'll be considered but Tulane wants a sitting coach, not a coordinator / first time HC.

Tulane may be the best G5 job in America right now (resources, location, etc) and just saw its last two HC’s (Fritz and Sumrall) leave for P4 gigs.

We’ll reload via the portal and be in position to make another run and there’s little doubt that if he left there would be a line around the block as far as interest in the job - even if that was simply because of Toney

I wouldn't celebrate it until Mario actually chose a replacement. We could just as easily replace him with his crush Jason Candle or Marcus Arroyo, or just a general **** no one likes like Chip Kelly....
There are surely plenty of quality OCs we could hire, but A) Will we B) Will we in any timely manner...

Going to be hard to replace him quickly and prior to portal opening. He opened it up nicely last month or so. I like what he's done. Unclear who would do better at this point but would like some better high school QB recruiting

True. Mario’s done it before (portal), without a coordinator in place. I also think our program’s status speaks enough for itself at this point, to attract a quality OC. I’m not worried at this point.

If the run game and spacing are up to Mario/Mirabal then i'd keep Dawson. If not then I wouldnt be mad at a fresh start, especially with speed at RB.

Clearly im in the minority but why does everyone think the next guy is going to be amazing?

Dawson runs an offense the favors our best player (Toney) and, Mario and Dawson seen to work well.

I wish Dawson the best but I hope he's around next year, we need to hit the ground running!!!! We lose too many key pieces to have to also deal with nonsense that goes with learning a new offense
