Tulane's #1 Choice Is Dawson

I don’t think he can. He is what he is. He’s a 50 year old coordinator. I think Tulane is his ceiling and honestly, it’s a pretty nice landing spot.

And flopped at several prior stops before Houston.

Now Dawson does have an excellent gig here with the financial support structure and guaranteed good OLs every year. But If I was him and Tulane offers, I’m taking that job in an instant. That is a really good G5 job and a proven stepping stone to the P4.

Orgeron's son is currently on Tulane's staff. That's why he's always at Tulane games (usually standing next to the cheerleaders).

Did he figure out how to fix the run game yet? Because it's still pretty bad. 4.0ypc all year..91st in the country.

Seriously, I'm ok if he stays but also think we could upgrade if he leaves.

anyone who thinks this is a good thing for miami is sadly mistaken. we are national championship caliber right now, with this roster and staff.

stability is a good thing. can we do better? of course. is it likely? i dont think so.
Agreed
I think they have finally figured it out

TT on par w everyone now
No reason to leave imo

TT is legit.

Here's what we can offer: You can point to what we did with his guy in Cam Ward, living in Miami instead of Lubbock; our previous OC getting a great G5 gig (if Dawson goes to Tulane), a raise, and surrounding his O with a great OL.

Tulane was paying Sumrall over $3 million. They offered him over $4.5 million to turn Florida down. I highly doubt they'd pay Dawson or any coordinator that much (which is why they're looking HC not coordinator).
Exactly. That can make a legit HC hire here. No shade at Dawson but they have a much bigger budget than people think
