Trap Game=@Virginia

The UVA game was tight last year. The first half of FSU looked like we came in expecting those guys to lay down. The upperclassmen pulled us through with some Ed Reed type of sht. The juniors and seniors on this team should want to destroy everyone that hung around too long last year like Virginia, GT, and Pitt. We lacked some leadership last year. This time it is there for for the taking but they need to focus and make sure everyone understands.

This Virginia team can beat Miami. Virginia is coming off a bye with two weeks to prepare for Miami. Miami doesn't play it's best games on the road. As we have seen a team that plays fundamental football, doesn't turn over the ball, commit penalty's and is solid in the kicking game can give these Canes fits (i.e Pitt). Miami is coming off a Rivalry game, probably emotionally and physically spent having to overcome a 20 point lead.

Moreover, UVA's Qb (Bryce Perkins) is a DT that has historically given Manny's defense problems. He is much better than Benkurt, UVA's Qb from last season. This game should be a blow out on paper but could easily be a loss. It will be interesting to see how this team reacts as Richt historically has been known to drop a game he shouldn't.
You can insert_________ a lot of head coaches names about historically dropping a game they should not.

Nothing wrong with what the OP is saying but I think similar posts can (and will) be generated for ALL of our remaining games sans Georgia Tech.

Good coach who's teams play fundamentally sound. Top 25 defense at the moment. Solid QB and run game. On the road at night. They have to the this seriously.

FSU is by far the most athletic team Miami will play this year. With the athletes Miami has, there is zero excuse why they shouldn’t put up a ton of points against Virginia. We all know the d will do it’s thing. Just have to tackle better and the db play needs to be better.

I see in all of our remaining games that teams will play us tough in the first half and we just need to control the damage. Our defense will wear them down in the second half. On offense I think we can realistically say that we will get better with each game with Perry’s development. We aren’t taking anybody lightly and frankly I think the term is overused.

We don’t have trap games because we are plenty vulnerable.

We aren’t good enough for just show up and win and haven’t been in 15 years.

Anyone left on our schedule is capable of beating us.

We’re capable of losing to anyone on the schedule going forward.

The defense will have to be dominant as **** to win out. I’m not sure we can depend on them getting all these turnovers causing short fields or d td’s.

The O has to help out.

With our team, this is the same rap we use every year. There will be several more of these trap games this year.

UVA is a good team with good coaches and several NFL players like Zaccheaus and Ellis. I think they’ve got a good little return guy (Reed??) who fcked us last year.

We should beat them, and we should beat every other team left on the schedule. But I wouldn’t be all that surprised if any of them beat us either.

Virginia is 43rd in S&P+ (VT is 47th and Miami is 16th for comparison).

They're a decent team that could give Miami issues.

We were leading the nation in TFL going into the FSU game and FSU Oline was giving up the second most TFL. That first half they pushed our Dline around. Anything can happen. That's why we play the games.

I dont think this is a trap game but it is a game we might only win by 10 . IMO the score will either be 28-20 or 52-10 nowhere inbetween. I feel for every game minus the VT and BC the same can be said . Those are the 2 games we are going to be challenged in really .

I don't think it's a trap game, but it definitely a game where we need to execute early & get a lead, if we allow them to hang around it could give us problems. I got us winning 34-20.

I agree with most of your post but this is the problem for the Canes. Against P5 competition Miami doesn't get off to early lead's in first quarter allowing the defense to tee off on teams. It hasn't happened this season and the only times I believe it happened last season was VT and ND.

I am confident that the defense can handle anything left on the schedule(barring anymore injuries) until the ACC championship game. The teams that will give us trouble are the teams with solid d lines, and Virginia is not all that great in that department. Matter of fact we just beat the team with the best one on the schedule.
