TOS say Diaz trying to get Cager back

So you cant perfect route running and improve your hands? Correct me if i'm wrong, but Clive Walford had the most inconsistent hands his Jr year.
No he didn’t. Check your stats he broke out a little his redshirt sophomore year and then as a redshirt junior he really took off and almost left for the draft. Just stop dude, give up. Look at the majority of this thread. You are severely in the minority.

"He drops the ball & he sucks but I want him to play ahead of the younger talented players because all Foldenite players deserve to be here permanently!" "Let's bring back Rosier too!! Tate sTiLl nEeDs tO LeArN tHe pLaYbOoK"

He's gonna take snaps away from guys like Hightower, Wiggins, Ezzard & Payton, which could push them into the portal then when Cager leaves we could possibly lose one of the younger WR's with more talent & more upside because we just have to always stick with 5th year Seniors. Because people think you just can't win unless every player on your roster has been in college for 8 years lol

Meanwhile, Jerry Jeudy & Devonta Smith played as TF's at Bama & Devonta literally caught the game winning TD in the 2017 Natty game, and I know yall watched Bama vs Clemson in this year's National championship game right, wanna take a guess what year Justyn Ross & Tee Higgins were in that game??... TF & True Soph.

Cager has never had a game with more than 4 catches, he's been pedestrian his entire career, if he were to come back he should be relegated to the bench.

Everything about this ^ Well said @Liberty City El

But just to add... I'd be fine with him on the team riding the bench and teaching up the young guys who can actually catch. But he left. He thought he could do better, so I wish him well.

Jeff Thomas wants to leave, you do everything you can do to get him back. Cager wants to leave?... good luck man.

Stats dont say how many drops someone has....

Ehhh, if he supplicates to Duper and commits himself to learning how to become a real receiver, then OK, but I really want to see what Pope can do this year and there are only so many footballs available to distribute. I trust Manny.

This is ultimately what I expect. New coaches dont care about seniors trying to have one last ride. He wont be taking snaps from anyone if he doesnt improve. So why not give him the chance? Diaz reaching out to him is weird because he didnt produce, but if he wanted to come back on his own accord then definitely let him.

Also may I add, Gus Edward's was mediocre under 2 different college coaching staff's.

I'm a man with a penchant for numbers and risk/return.

Take the percentage of guys who didn't play well their first few years in college then eventually became productive.

Now take the percentage of guys who didn't play well their first few years in college and never became productive.

The number is almost the same.

Now look at the percentage of guys who played well their first few years in college and CONTINUED to be productive.

The extreme vast majority of players who started as ballers from day one, continued to be ballers (barring injury, etc). Almost ZERO of the guys that were disasters made the turnaround to being productive players. It happens, but it's significantly less likely, on statistics alone.

I'd let him come back seeing as we won't get to 85 scholly's this class. I'd be fine with that. But I don't want him on the field unless we're up by 30.

The only issue is you don’t get a Senior to come back to sit on the bench. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. Especially when there is several more “talented” kids on the roster.

Yeesh. I wouldn't mind him back but I dont want him back. Who ever defends him needs to realize this. When you first start playing Football the first rule is if you touch it you can catch it(in PeeWee). So dont blame the Offensive line, the coaching or the Quarterback. My older Brother would throw the ball at me as hard as he could everytime I dropped it and guess what I learned to catch at 8 years old. This is the era of 1 handed spectacular catches and were really dividing ourselves over someone relying on there chest? Blame Rozier for Football's without a spiral. Blame Perry for having a Cannon. But dont blame the Coach's, Or the QBs if the Receiver didn't catch it and had it in his numbers. Ron Dugans is supposed to help him with the details, no one can help him focus on the Football that split second it gets lost in the lights

This is a really good point and goes back to my initial inclination of just parting ways. He already looked like a whiny little ***** when he was dropping passes. We don't need his Al Golden energy in our locker room.

Bingo it’s best for both parties. Every move Diaz made has been magical, this one has me queezy.

I also believe that Cager was a poor player. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he was a cancer in the WR room because he didn’t work hard/study or something along those lines and got burn due to some sort of seniority entitlement. I don’t want him back. Hightower is a stud and I believe EzZard is going to be better than many think. Payton gonna be a stud too. I’m ready to roll w these studs and Njoku in the bigger WR roles. Mallory too.

I still don't buy it, at all. Cager seemed to have an attitude about him. He would get ****y when he wasn't making plays, which was on the regular. I don't want that.

But more than anything, fact of the matter is, he has small hands. Unless he wants to call up Uncle Jack for some help... really not much to be done about that.

I've heard a lot of not so great stuff about Cager, but being a cancer or lazy was neither of them.

I thought that was why some of the guys wanted to transfer. You may be right, but for some reason that stuck w me when JT left and pope wanted out
