Toretta as AD

OT but how does someone with no experience come in from the NFL and start working as a Senior Financial Advisor and not just a regular advisor? lol
No disrepect to Gino but in this busines a number of these positions are givin to former athletes becasue it brings the firm a certain amount of publicity. Having the guy in the room to shake hands and pose for pictures. They give a senior title becasue the people in these rooms are all senior executives.

Does any other serious University always try to hire these top positions (Coaches and now AD) with people with links to the school? Seems like you are really limiting the pool of qualified candidates. It really worked out well with Coker, Shannon and Diaz.

And the other half voted for a brain dead geriatric patient with dementia

Can we please stop with all this P-analytical nitwittery.

The point was made and it was accurate. People voted for a previously non-politician person with similar, but somewhat different, skills than that which the job has routinely called for (and for a much more significant and impactful job than AD of a university). It's called having "translatable" skills.

It was a perfectly valid point about JOB EXPERIENCE (or the lack thereof), and had nothing to do with the personal lives, ages, or mental health of anyone else from any other party.

But, yeah, certain people on this board are so ********** triggered that they feel compelled to make unrelated p-analytical comments just so that they can "own" the other side.

Don’t even try to ride in on the moral high horse on this one. You’re the one that started praising the original p-analytical comment that got this rolling.

To be honest...I said Mario and Zo (in a FB role) but I didn't think it'd be Torretta as AD....I personally wanted Jurich...

Oh, I agree that Jurich was my top choice too. If you didn't float Gino's name, then I know who did. Regardless, those who crap on the guys who know things as you do...do so at their own peril...

So that'll be that for politics.

It was a great point having NOTHING to do with politics. Having everything to do with giving the most powerful job in the world to someone with no prior elective experience.

I know you are so poisoned by your partisanship that you cannot even see the analogy. Doesn't matter about party. If Andrew Yang was elected President, the same analogy would hold true, and I'd agree with the poster the same way.
