Today is zero barrier

If Manny isn’t fired today, he’s not going to be.

Am I wrong in thinking that? The season is over. Almost all firings take place the day after the season, if not in-season. I know we don’t have an AD, but if he’s not going to be here next year, what good does keeping him until tomorrow or beyond do?

Tell me I’m wrong here because I don’t want to cry myself to sleep tonight.

They will bring in an AD before a Manny decision.

You’re low intelligence aren’t you?

Low intelligence is having a single candidate in mind then giving up if said person says no. We know Manny can’t coach, we know Manny isn’t going to work, so get someone else.

In college there’s Kiffin, Christobal, Stoops, Tom Herman, Dan Mullen just off the top of my head. All are upgrades over Manny.

Then there’s guys with skins on the wall from the nfl like Bill O’Brien and Doug Pederson.

I find it hard to believe not a single one would take the job, and if they don’t even try to have a legitimate coaching search when LSU fired a guy that won a natty 2 years ago, then we’re not a serious program. Bottom line. That’s not emotional that’s the truth. Emotional is overreacting to a 7-5 finish to the season when we started preseason top 10 lol
Yet Ed O finished coaching the season and they already had an AD in place. This isn’t the same situation. Nobody said Cristobal was the only candidate. They’ve named the 3 candidates already with Mario being given first choice. There isn’t anything to complain about, who cares if they fire Manny today or later in the week. An AD being secured doesn’t mean an announcement was imminent either. Dmoney has already said expect an announcement of the new AD this week.

I just can't believe we need a brand new AD to make a determination about retaining/firing Manny. Like holy ****, does no one at Miami have balls? The new AD will have no relationship with Manny, didn't hire Manny, and wasn't around Miami football for the last 3 years. The BOT, the President, and the Boosters know Manny and witnessed our underperformance firsthand. If you want a new AD to help hire a new coach, fine. But this bs about needing an AD to fire Manny stinks like ****. It makes me think Manny might actually stick around another year. Either that, or his buyout actually does drop. Hope it's the latter.

And you know this how? Specific examples please, not generalities.

And please feel free to name all the times that "big time" schools rushed the hiring of a head and paid millions extra, just to satisfy the bloodlust of the fanbase who wanted the coach fired publicly and rapidly.
Actually to be fair, that kind of sounds like what we did last year giving Temple 4 million to buy Manny back.

Now it wasn't at the behest of the fans, it was moreso to satisfy the BOT? The AD....Truthfully I am not too sure why that hiring was rushed like that after Rucht retired.

There is a list? Where? Name them. you don’t make moves to just make a move. Morons do that. You target your top guys and the guys who you think can take you to where u want to be. If you can’t get them then sometimes the play is stat quo

Your post I responded to said you shoot your shot for the "guy" you want. If they can't get him then they stick with Manny. Your response now mentions you target your "top guys" which is plural. So now you suggest there might be a list? That's what I'm saying.

I hope most of you are correct. But nobody has really given me much confidence. We’re going to wait till Wednesday to save $2M? And we think this is going to be a national power in football with spending on par to all the other national powers? El oh el.

Oh well, guess I’ll hope it happens today and not, and it doesn’t happen Wednesday, then what?

I suppose, for those of you saying I’m wrong, what’s the date where you think it’s do or die? Wednesday? After the bowl? After Oregon or Ole Miss’s bowl?
I don't care who or what you are, $2M bucks ain't nothing to sneeze at. I have no problem with them waiting until they can save that as long as it happens ASAP.

Yes, you're wrong.

They are still interviewing AD candidates (as Manny Navarro reported today), Diaz will continue to do his job until he's fired (and if) and this will happen, eventually, only when the new AD will be in place.

So long for the "AD secured", "Done deal", "Diaz 100% gone": everything is still in play.

He’s not going anywhere. You don’t let a dead man walking visit recruits at home. We would’ve known by now he would be gone. If the program was serious, they would’ve arranged a mutual parting of ways at the end of the season after the UNC game, and then released him on the day his buyout dropped.

This is amateur hour. And we have people telling us to wait until after the bowl game? Lol. The loser isn’t getting fired this year.
No it's not. It's politics and money. Let the new AD do what he's paid to do.
