Nobody has a clue what’s going on. The insiders said an AD was secured, then we learned they’re starting a search firm for an AD. We were told manny being fired is a done deal, yet he’s still coaching the team, on the recruiting trail, and the players are openly supporting him with organized hashtags. Manny also does not sound like a guy who received his pink slip. We haven’t heard one word from anyone in a leadership position at Miami that anything different then the status quo is going to happen.

I’ve said many times, the only people that really know what’s going on are those directly involved in the situation. All the rest is the usual speculation and bull**** that shows up on here constantly.

Am I wrong in thinking that? The season is over. Almost all firings take place the day after the season, if not in-season. I know we don’t have an AD, but if he’s not going to be here next year, what good does keeping him until tomorrow or beyond do?

Would be crazy to fire Manny before his buyout drops by almost 50%. Believe that is Wednesday. Also .. had been stated that the new AD would make (or at least announce) any coaching change decisions. Hopefully a new AD is announced by Monday and then Manny is dismissed on Wednesday.

I was off the opinion that he's gone no matter what but If Lashlee is gone there's no chance Diaz comes back. They're not going to give Diaz half a season to break in two new coordinators. And no good coordinator is going to come here knowing Diaz will likely be gone. Lashlee leaving should put all doubt to rest

And Sark was UTs #1 target. They didn’t look elsewhere and hired him days after firing Herman.

They were negotiating with him while Herman was still their coach much like Miami has been talking with potential coaches for months now.

Low intelligence is having a single candidate in mind then giving up if said person says no. We know Manny can’t coach, we know Manny isn’t going to work, so get someone else.

In college there’s Kiffin, Christobal, Stoops, Tom Herman, Dan Mullen just off the top of my head. All are upgrades over Manny. Also guys like Greg Schiano and Gary Patterson are options.

Then there’s guys with skins on the wall from the nfl like Bill O’Brien, Marvin Lewis and Doug Pederson. Pete Carroll may be fired from Seattle, should at least make the call if that’s an option.

I find it hard to believe not a single one would take the job, and if they don’t even try to have a legitimate coaching search when LSU fired a guy that won a natty 2 years ago, then we’re not a serious program. Bottom line. That’s not emotional that’s the truth. Emotional is overreacting to a 7-5 finish to the season when we started preseason top 10 lol
