Tidbits on Manny Diaz perception

Fck Spermy Fart. But I expect a similar turnaround here. I see his energy and enthusiasm more like Dabo. Make football fun but be tough and TCB.

Here’s one thing Diaz is doing that I’ve been calling for forever: He’s trying to create local pride by painting the guys who leave as weasels and traitors to their hometown. You can see it in the way the commits are going hard at local KKK groupies. Other coaches have tried to create that, but they’ve done it with empty soft rhetoric. Diaz is going in white hot, and you can see the effect.

It’s brain dead rhetoric that they can point to if we don’t go undefeated next year and sign the number one class. They can then tell everyone, “I said it first and most!!! Give me my dyck flavored lollipop!”.

EXACTLY. When I read those quotes from the kids I said to myself it sounds like our coaching staff is telling our guys to call out those mofos. GOOD. Keep that isht up!!

Idunno, I just think everyone is going to be quick to inject anonymous quotes into their veins that are positive because every coaching change brings optimism.

Unless they gave a tangible reason why in the quote. Diaz definitely has the momentum though.

Maybe. Or maybe there’s a message in the comment. We know the last staff ****ed up and quit. We know the kids leaving town kept going up and up. Anecdotes aren’t scientific proof but they can be revealing.

We can say for sure Richt had no momentum and Diaz has a lot of momentum. That is an unscienfitic reality as far as “energy” but also the explosion of the portal.

I just don’t know if it says anything about actual recruiting strategy that one kid thinks one thing. Either way Diaz has new coach momentum on steroids. If he wins year one it’s going to explode.

I wouldn’t take the comment as revealing of ‘strategy’ by Diaz so much as a form of confirmation of what we already knew about Richt, which was evidenced by the rate at which top local kids left town.

They'll go after Marshawn Lloyd, Demarkcus Bowman, Tank Bigsby & Daijun Edwards.

I don't think they'll get Bowman, they will probably stay home & one of the top backs from Georgia (Bigsby/Edwards).

As for DBs, looks like UGA is going all out for the Texas guys and Kelee Ringo this cycle. They have 5* Dwight McGlothern from Texas there this weekend. Just offered another 5* Texas Safety today. Kelee Ringo was there last weekend. Wouldn't be surprised if Elias Ricks made a visit, too.
