We just simply havent coached our kids to their strengths in forever. Only one who did was...El Jefe..who wht do you know was instanmtly offered a HC job elsewhere.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned on CIS, it’s that you know the pulse of hs football in SFL.

Its next level down here. I can take you to a HS game down here...i dont care about the attendance of the games.the stadiums, how the coaches are paid. Its just simply next level football down here in comparison to other states. I lived in GA early 2000's went to games at Stephenson High and in the APS area (Mays high, Washington High). Stephenson was choc full of div 1 players. Washington had Reshad Jones(DOlphins) and a bunch of other div 1 players, the intensity and play of those teams pailed to my hs team and we were a middle of the road broward team.
It continue now with my best friend living in atl and attending their games at the Dome the last 2 years and saying the same thing....man its some good football ..but it aint dade, broward, or palm beach ball.

I was born and raised in the original 305. Left in ‘83 and one of my biggest regrets is not being there to witness all that talent. You and I are MCA brothers!

I had a cousin who played at Nova years back. He was no blue-chip and Nova isn't a powerhouse. Unc moved em up to somewhere in south Georgia and the man set the county rushing record. Moved back down here for senior year and was back to being a mediocre Broward kid. Florida (south florida specifically) doesn't have the bells and whistles and resources and shiny things that Cali and Texas has, the crowds aren't as big, ****, the players aren't even as big, etc. But the talent on the field is second-to-none. Some tough, fast, lil jokers down here.
 
Dont want to start a new thread but watching the playoff games today underscores just how far from elite our program is. Anyone who thinks Rocht can somehow succeed with an OC is insane, imo. Richt cannot coach, lead or manage a team or program at the level needed to be elite today. At a program with less local talent than UM UGA, he’s a below average coach. It is what it is.
