This reminds me of Coker in 2006

You can look at the NFL all pro teams and poke holes all through that. And NFL drafts. Only 30 guys go in the first round each year. And the guys who get picked there are typically spread around teams. How can you only win with first day talent?

Forget the draft then. Look at the NFL all pro teams and count the Canes then. You need a bunch of those type guys to have an elite college program.

I count one Cane, and he's been out of college for 10 years.

Yost is only a phone call and nice check away. An he is a family guy so he would mesh with richt. An he could get both Perry and Williams back on track, he used to be a kindergarten teacher.

we dont want anyone to "mesh with Richt" .... we want RICHT GONE !

You cannot win on the highest level without first day NFL draft pick type talent. Dwinstitties nailed it in one of his vids. We have a bunch of guys in the NFL, yes, but for the most part they are jags in the NFL.
We cannot win the coastal, and you mofos are talkimbout winnin at the hihest level?

We dont have a talent problem. We have a program that is a joke.

Campbell, Vernon and Bailey are all impact stud DL. We got nothing out of them. Brandon Linder is the highest paid center in NFL history. Miller and Duke are legit impact backs. It didn’t matter because we had no defenses. Njoku and Herndon are monsters and we had them at the same time.

It’s not like the mid-2000s but these are good players who would be stars at other schools.

We won ten games and immediately signed a top 8 class.

We just need to get the most out of what we have, and then we will get more.
We lost a bunch of heavy hitters we cant even close, we have never closed in the age recruiting getting national attention like it has been. 2018 was a huge disappointment at least for me if your not in the top 3-5 yearly u wont win big. People claim wins and they come thats BS too, look at Oregon look at UGA **** look at FSU when Jimbo first got there

If we recruit like 2018 every year, we will be competing for championships. But you have to win and get the most of the players you have.

When you don’t, you end up with the 2019 class.

A ten game sham that everyone saw through. We lost out on a ton of our targets too. Signed a good class for sure but the team got worse and we got pretty much nothing out of the stellar class.

You say “we just need to get the most out of what we have,” but we haven’t done that in almost 20 years. Pretty sure Rick’s shown over the course of 18 years that he doesn’t “get the most out of what he has.”

So then what’s the answer? Dig another year of a hole waiting to fire him. Let him completely destroy the program in the process. Then lather, rinse and repeat with a new guy and a bevy of excuses of how he has to rebuild the roster. Or maybe consider a new model? What we do hasn’t come close to working.

Alabama has a grand total of two players on that list. Are we going to pretend they aren’t talented?

Total NFL players is the best measure of talent. Based on that measure, we are the biggest underachievers in college football.

The two programs I watch the most are Miami and TCU (wife is a grad). The schools compare well, with both being small private schools. The differences are Miami gets more talented players but players that unprepared for college and Maimi has worse coaching. TCU gets less talented players but their players were much better prepared in high school and they are coached better at the college level.

I disagree, u cant win without the hogs up front. The losses late in the last three recruiting cycles would of helped us tremendously, the names some are first round types. We have had coaches that have terrible evaluations on top of that, until we bag up we wont win. Our best teams we cheated thats the only way and this admin aint about winning they want that nice guy look. This is not the same Miami its a watered down BS that will never reign anymore those days r over and the sooner people see that the better they can let this "the U" **** go.
We will never be back in this era of money money money bags bags bags, we have no chance.

Respectfully. I mean this. How are we going to get the most out of the talent we're getting when we legit have guys in critical staff positions who would struggle to get top-tier high school jobs?

It's systemic. You can't run a football program where you pay somebody money and then give them carte blanche to make those kind of hires unchecked.

John Richt was not qualified to be the quarterback coach at Miami no matter who his dad is.

When you lose a top assistant to a head coaching job, you can't replace him with his two cortadito boys. They may have bright futures but this is power five football, get serious.

The only solution is to cut the head off the snake and then decide how you want to rebuild your farm. We will never achieve success in our current state.

Can you do some analysis on the playoff teams and where those players come from?

Our 2013 team had four OL who started games in the NFL this year. The fifth guy was first team All-ACC. We still got destroyed by Duke.

It’s coaching.

The only chance we have is we have to find the next Butch the next guy thats a savage evaluator and a savage recruiter, not a fake recruiter like the last four coaches. A real hard nosed recruiter that gets results and closes strong, a guy that doesnt let his ego get in the way and lets someone coach his offense or his defense. Bring me Butch cause I dont trust this admin to find that guy

We will not be competing for championships without a championship quality organization. If you’re contending otherwise, imo you’re mistaken.

You keep noting talent and underperformance, but then say talent is the answer. But why the consistent underperformance? What explains 18 years of short bus outcomes?

To me its both coaching and recruiting, u cant let a Neal go to bama and think thats not a loss. Theres no way Searles can coach that kid into a bumb, **** I can coach him into the draft.

You must not be reading the same posts.

Talent is not the answer. That’s the whole point. We have talent, and can get more if we present a quality product. We need coaching.

You can't only claim it is coaching at Miami. First of all I agree, Miami needs great coaching to win. In fact we need Nick Saban level coaching to win, we can't do it on talent. You also need to take a look at the coaching these kids get before school.
