Idk why y’all are hating on the kid for saying that out loud. If no one will listen and nothing is changing, you put pressure on them from the outside. Players and coaches make these public statements all the time.

I could answer that for you but you seem to catch on. So I'm gonna shut up. He ain't goin no where no time soon though so get used to this as the norm. Its what happens when you have a football staff made up of non football people.
 
We have a team of front runners. We talk so much **** in wins but put in the bare minimum lol We smoke cigars in the locker room after beating a bad FSU team like we just won a title. A 5 point win against a bad UVA team has Manny jumping for joy. It's easy to see how we lose to the FIUs and LaTechs. It's also why we play like *** after bye weeks. I bet the team spends the week "off" just partying and enjoying how great it is being a Miami Hurricane football player.

C'mon bruh. You know manny will not feel one iota of heat off of this. Its not a newsflash to any of us involved in any capacity with the program. Its a direct result of the administration settling for business in front of results and knowing next to nothing as a whole about the sport. Bye weeks are when you see the value of coaching... Its about leadership and preparation. We lack in all of those categories.

I was just going to say this. He may have said it to alert the public and to embarrass those he may have told internally ur not doing enough. Putting it out into the public space will defiantly make them start working or at least have the coaches now see what’s going on

I dont believe him from a lazy standpoint. You just had a career game but you been slacking??? I think he is saying they could and should have been putting in more work and basically this open competition wouldn't have happen. Bottomline is now we see what your capable of just go get it your all and be part of what turns this around. If we can get Harley and one more receiver to get open plus the tight ends doing they thing it will change how teams approach us

Social media pressure and finally feeling pushed by competition....NOT the thought/pressure of using what limited time you have left in college to try and improve your game so that you might actually give yourself the opportunity to make good money, playing the game you love, at the next level is what finally motivated him to put in the extra work?

Yeah, sad post. Good thing this came after his best day as a Cane. I suspect some of his quote needs context, but poor optics by Mike. He and the team need to keep these issues in-house.

I noticed an interesting interaction between Mike and a teammate in the second half.

Mike had just made a great catch for a first down. The offense was about to quickly huddle up so King can relay the next play. The teammate, number I cannot remember, tried to congratulate Mike on the catch. Mike brushed his aside the celebration with a hard shoulder shrug, stared the other player down for a moment, looking at him with disdain, a ‘get the fvck away from me’ look on his face.

Maybe Mike gets it.

This is not a defense of Mike or the other WRs poor play, or the coaches.

It just struck me as interesting.

I kept telling WR and others are NOT focused,just wearing the U and running out of the tunnel.

Why most here are blind to what they see is a mystery.

NOW , This is not a BOOM we’re fixed we want rings NOT.

This sets us back another year to 3-4 years WHY it is part of who we are and MUST be PURGED.

This infestation will show its face in battle when we need them the most because it’s been like this .

Xavier Woods of the Cowboys, after getting blasted by the Cardinals 2 weeks ago, said, "You can't expect players to go 100% every play. Not realistic". And hes an NFL player getting paid. And they didnt cut his a$$ the next day which they should have!

I think alot of you are taking his quote too literally. I get what hes saying. And I actually appreciate his honesty. Makes alot of sense actually after seeing the performance of the WRs this season.

He balled out on Saturday so whatever happened before that, is over and done with. After the performance he had, he has gained a little equity with me. Now he needs to build off that.
 
LOL at cats who actually thought Ed Reed being on the sideline is going to suddenly make this program into a legit one. It’s a symbolic position of no real power, set up to trick dumb fans into thinking “we’re back”.

Just like the chain, the cigars, the knuckles, the slip and slide. All these gimmicks to fool idiots, like any other politician does.
