This quote by MDCS on Brooks and the LB’s

Sounds like someone close to him reads this board because he is low key responding to the "TAC and TAC dad going off on Patke in the tunnel after the Pitt game" rumor that was on here. He can slice it however he wants, the LB play overall has been so bad, you empty the bench to find one who can give you decent play if you have to.

I always revert back to the "Bama vs TAMU in 2013" when Mike Evans for TAMU was absolutely destroying every Bama CB in his path early on. (Finished with 280 yards receiving) and Saban literally went down to his 4th string CB to find ANYONE who could guard him and when he did he stuck with that guy for the rest of the game. He didnt care what year you were, whether you were a walkon, or whether you new the playbook..Find me someone to stop Mike Evans and empty the bench if you have to! (Saban voice lol)

I cannot understand why Manny Diaz isnt taking any risks AT ALL in this LB room to find someone who can help this defense. It absolutely doesnt make sense. There is no way he can defend it and he can get all high and mighty if he wants with his 2 game win streak but that is just the reason why people want him fired. He doesnt know what he is doing.
Something don't smell right here. You mean to tell me these cats can't sniff the field after 8 freaking games into the season? It ain't like the guys in front of them are world beaters. So you're gonna burn their red shirts on special teams play. That's freakin stupid.

He doesnt know how to evaluate LBS to even know what he wants or needs. This is blatantly obvious and been so for awhile.
The scheme isnt LB friendly so we really wouldnt know what we have.....but i still remember him going with all freshmans previously at LB...so what scares me is i believe the guys behind ARENT better than the starters currently.

I literally remember folks calling for Jennings to get more run when he was an underclassmen.,,we see how that went.

What i personally would like to see though is packages for when they want to spy the qb...Flagg or Jennings comes out and you insert Flagg or Huff for that purpose alone.

Thta right there should give those guys a minimum 10 snaps a game.

How many of our LBs were stand-up DEs in high school who are now asked to learn to play WLB or MLB? I know Keontra was a safety that played in the box a lot and that's why his transition was smoother. But some of these other guys are either too small, too slow or completely lacking instincts.
Keontra was a MLB in high school.

Cave must still flow to the ball in practice, gotta coach that out of him.

When Flagg got absolutely flat-footed in space by a QB running a 5.4 40...that was the template.

I don’t want to see Troutman. Kid is small and looks like a safety. I remember seeing a tunnel shot during one of the pregames and Kam Kitchens was bigger than him.
He may be small but the few times I’ve seen him hit he stops the person with the ball.

Then he isn't coaching them...Or recruiting the right ones

UM LBs are supposed to pass bums like Jennings on the depth chart.

This is what I'm saying...I don't get it.

We are well behind the "these guys may mistakes if we play them" point. We have bums on the field in front of them...
