This is not the behavior of a big-time program

There's just too much dead weight on the defensive side of the ball.

Simpson and TRob are good picks.

But DVD is redundant. He's a less experienced version of TRob. He has to be an ACE on the recruiting trail to justify being kept on in some understudy role. And an ace at any position that's needed, not just DB.

Baker and Patke are not elite position coaches and they're not recruiters. What value are they bringing?

If our special teams looked like Beamer Ball circa 2003, okay. But our coverage and return units were meh as ****.

And our LB play was abysmal.

On top of that, we know we tried to upgrade, but couldn't.

There's no way to spin this other than failure.

Here is the sober truth. Manny reached out and there were some decent options out there. They decided NOT to come and rejected Manny.

Some of you act like Manny had better options - no, the updates today were what he was FORCED to announce because he couldn't sell anyone to come here. And do you blame them? Manny loves and believes in his D scheme and top tier DCs knew he would meddle.

Manny has failed and will be fired in a year or two max.

You have to be blind not see he was turned down

We run like a nice guy mom and pop shop.. Been that way for awhile.. We can barely hire alumni because we cant get rid of them because on open market their value is realized, samething happened with kehoe..

Not if he wins 9 games.

Manny always speaks of 'culture issues'. Well, he's created a culture in amongst that coaching staff that rewards incompetence. Rumph failed. Failures are fired in most P5 programs, not moved into analysts positions.

Baker failed! Everyone associated with the program knows this. Yet, you keep him on staff and take on most responsibilities instead of hiring a qualified coach!?

For the older folks out there — if we flop next season and Manny gets canned, is he the worst HC in program history? I would say yes just off the historic losses we’ve had under him.

Nothing will ever be worse than Randy Shannon. I just can't shake that memory of him calling timeout ON AN INCOMPLETION during the 2 minute drill against California.

Pure incompetence for two decades. Realize that once Manny gets fired, the last SIX head coaches fired here will all have been UNABLE to land ANOTHER head coaching job in division 1.

You can't make this **** up.

I foresee this being the end for Manny. And hopefully this will too be the end of Blake James at Miami. He will leave the next coach, more likely Lashlee, a ton of talent to work with.

It's a great move from a fan perspective. Removes any gray area. It will succeed wildly or blows up in his face. I'm relieved. If he'd hired someone like Muschump and we had a D that wasnt much better, then someone could argue that the mediocrity was because we changed schemes and players needed more time to adjust. Was the problem Bakers ability or Diaz's scheme? Was the real issue Rumph not teaching press coverage well and Baker calling too much zone? Well, we will find out for sure next year. No scapegoats around anymore.

People to recover from our 70 point loss the scars will take years to recover.
I’m reading these post and it’s like BAMA isn’t a thought just a basically undefeated season following this HUGE loss please don’t think close to 80 is possible.

Do you really think we can absorb this and go Oh well we’re still back nothing to see here LOLOLOL.

3-4 years recovery were going to be like the guy shaking being hit by lightning nervous scared.

Who scheduled BAMA WHY WHY FID WE DO THIS???

Knowing of our Xbox Madden type players this mindset is not BOOM switch coaches around BOOM we back BAMA ready .

Infestation in these children still here .

WE KNOW WHAT WILL BREAK US “ ANYTHING “

A winning MINDSET take many years to reset.

This type of post KILLS my Cane heart but BOLD INSPIRED SOLUTIONS were ignored now we’re have to portal and other crazy stuff to TRY to fix ITS A PATCH very thin and very temporary
