Have you noticed the last two games have been a little different?
Yup, I remember at the end of the SMU loss Mario was finally dropping his nuts on the refs. Then he lobbied a complaint to the ACC. That may have made a difference. The **** has still been egregious this year. Had a UF fan tell me these refs gotta be on payroll. ****ed me off even more.

Also if we don’t get in, take ND off the schedule.
Honestly, we should already be floating that idea out there. If Rad had a set of nuts he’d put something out to the effect of there clearly being no beneficial nature to those out of conference games given the committee’s disregard for the results of early season matchups so we’re evaluating future scheduled games.

Notre Dame (and a lot of the CFB world) believes they’re responsible for all the ratings for our game with them that night. I’ve seen dozens and dozens of comments about this over the season.

And obviously, yes, they are a huge ratings draw with the big games. But so are we, as shown by the rest of our games. It just amazes me how no one gives us any credit for anything.

Another reason why I would caution about dropping them from the schedule though (I talked about this somewhere earlier tonight).. ratings $$$ We aren’t going to have many good games and hardly any exciting teams / rivals over the few years. FSU is it, and they suck. What is everyone supposed to get excited for, and tune in for?

Like you said, we do fine in other games from a ratings perspective. Not worried about that.

People don’t want to see those non-conference matchups go away. Start acting like the SEC and threaten to do away with them if they aren’t doing you any good and see if people’s tune changes.

More and more national guys are jumping on the train.

We have to win these last 2 games, man. Don’t ******* blow this.

Even Clay Travis and his SEC shill OutKick is supporting our cause. And that dude is an SEC cuck through and through.

That pick six guy is pretty legit though. He’s always pretty unbiased in his judgements.

Feels like the FSU snub all over again. Yes we should be in over ND if we both finish 10-2.

No the comittee will not rank us over ND.

All thats gonna happen is people will complain while the team will be snubbed which could snowball into something much worse.

At this point we win out + either Bama, OU or Ole miss (potentially) lose a game and we get in or we win the ACC no other option.

Wonder if the only reason the media is going hard for us is an excuse for playoff expansion.

Obviously this list is inflated towards the SEC since their games are by far the easiest in the sport to watch. But ND isn’t the ratings juggernaut they are claiming they are. But we’re right behind them with a CW and FCS game on the schedule. Not to mention we lost two weeks of games with YoutubeTV/Disney **** sizing contest.

You could make a very compelling argument we either just as big a draw or an even bigger draw. ND has standalone games on a major network. Alone vs no one else.

Look at week 11. We drew over 1 million. With millions of subscribers not watching on YouTubeTV against a three win garbage team. ND drew good numbers in a prim time slot vs a potential playoff team. On a network not impacted by the Disney feud. They just aren’t the draw they believe they are.

The one that not a lot of people are talking about is Oregon.

If they beat USC next weekend but lose at Washington on the last week of the regular season, they could drop out. They have beaten literally no one this season. Their best win is a 6-4 Iowa. Could 10-2 Oregon drop below 10-2 Miami and the Big 10 only get 2 teams in? It’s possible.

I’ve been doing all the math assuming the Big 10 gets 3 in. But Oregon is -300 to make the playoff right now. That’s far from a lock. I wonder if losing the last weekend of the year pushes them out. Just another piece to track the next 2 weeks.

I’ll say this, a 10-2 Miami is finishing somewhere between #10 (last team in) and #12 (2nd team out). Gonna be real tight either way if we can get the next 2.

One small piece of optimism, although it’s not much. We were +400 to make the playoff yesterday morning. We went to +370 this morning. We’re currently +300 right now.

Go beat VT by 28 and let’s keep this thing going.
28? We better beat them by 48
