Well, well.... conference supporting the Canes
Don’t hold your breath. I’d be surprised if Rad even knows we have a game on Saturday. It’s a garbage conference. I’ll hold out hope that Rad is waiting to see this weeks polls before launching his assault.
Let me take a look and see what I can do. I agree that topics are getting redundant among multiple threads, so I’ll try to clean it up if I can.Can we combine all these threads in to one big "CFB is broken game" thread?

Have you noticed the last two games have been a little different?**** this conference and their sissy zebras lol

Yup, I remember at the end of the SMU loss Mario was finally dropping his nuts on the refs. Then he lobbied a complaint to the ACC. That may have made a difference. The **** has still been egregious this year. Had a UF fan tell me these refs gotta be on payroll. ****ed me off even more.Have you noticed the last two games have been a little different?
Is this to make the ACCCG?Pretty much correct. Pitt has to beat Ga Tech, and Duke has to lose to one of Wake or UNC, and SMU has to lose to one of Cal or Louisville.
OPs analysis is pretty much right
Honestly, we should already be floating that idea out there. If Rad had a set of nuts he’d put something out to the effect of there clearly being no beneficial nature to those out of conference games given the committee’s disregard for the results of early season matchups so we’re evaluating future scheduled games. Also if we don’t get in, take ND off the schedule.
Notre Dame (and a lot of the CFB world) believes they’re responsible for all the ratings for our game with them that night. I’ve seen dozens and dozens of comments about this over the season.Honestly, we should already be floating that idea out there. Like you said, we do fine in other games from a ratings perspective. Not worried about that.Notre Dame (and a lot of the CFB world) believes they’re responsible for all the ratings for our game with them that night. I’ve seen dozens and dozens of comments about this over the season.
And obviously, yes, they are a huge ratings draw with the big games. But so are we, as shown by the rest of our games. It just amazes me how no one gives us any credit for anything.
Another reason why I would caution about dropping them from the schedule though (I talked about this somewhere earlier tonight).. ratings $$$ We aren’t going to have many good games and hardly any exciting teams / rivals over the few years. FSU is it, and they suck. What is everyone supposed to get excited for, and tune in for?
More and more national guys are jumping on the train.
We have to win these last 2 games, man. Don’t ******* blow this.

28? We better beat them by 48The one that not a lot of people are talking about is Oregon.
If they beat USC next weekend but lose at Washington on the last week of the regular season, they could drop out. They have beaten literally no one this season. Their best win is a 6-4 Iowa. Could 10-2 Oregon drop below 10-2 Miami and the Big 10 only get 2 teams in? It’s possible.
I’ve been doing all the math assuming the Big 10 gets 3 in. But Oregon is -300 to make the playoff right now. That’s far from a lock. I wonder if losing the last weekend of the year pushes them out. Just another piece to track the next 2 weeks.
I’ll say this, a 10-2 Miami is finishing somewhere between #10 (last team in) and #12 (2nd team out). Gonna be real tight either way if we can get the next 2.
One small piece of optimism, although it’s not much. We were +400 to make the playoff yesterday morning. We went to +370 this morning. We’re currently +300 right now.
Go beat VT by 28 and let’s keep this thing going.
Maybe 10%Have you noticed the last two games have been a little different?
