Pete,

What are hearing is the staff's hold up with offering 2015 ATH Jalen Julius, since Davis is apparently to small? Considerig both Javarius Davis and Julius are bigge than former can great roscoe Parrish.

Not to mention Javarius Davis has the same listed size & weight as Current UM commit Jaquan Johnson, so I am calling bull crap on the size thing being tne issue as to why Davis is not a Cane yet.

Go Canes

Javarius Davis and Jalen need to be canes these are the kids that go else where and get drafted because they are truly great football players we need these two AL come on make a good decision for once

Davis and Julius can absolutely fly, which means this staff has no interest in them. They prefer bigger, slower players as they bring Miami further away from its roots in favor of their Northeast, Big 10 philosophy. It's sickening.

Speed at the skill positions in this class will be noticeably lacking when/if Scarlett and Williams decommit.

I appreciate The Work Mr. Ariz, but it's hard to get excited anymore when you know that with Al at the helm, recruiting can't be what it could and should be.

The likely problem with Tim Irvin is he has football people in his family. Football people who understand that guys on our defensive staff aren't good at their jobs(He probably knows it too from just listening and watching). It flows from Golden on down. What person in that kid's life is gonna tell him to go to Miami because it will be the best thing for him? No one who isn't lying or misinformed.
I don't really blame them for not closing on Irvin. They aren't good football coaches. He sees it. His people see it. The only thing that could get him here is taking a bet on Golden being gone after his freshman year. No kid is gonna do that though.

very good point

Very telling, in all honesty Pete is there any form of heat on golden or pressure to change staff members?

This..... id like an answer on this as well..

Tim Irvin would LOVE to spend his next few years wearing orange and green in Coral Gables. However, he (understandably) cannot justify committing to play for a regime that has no clue how to maximize talent. And quite frankly, who can blame him?

This staff obviously dont know what Miami is all about. SPEED. Davis and Jalen both have SPEED. Hoggins and Fenton both guys with speed and instincts. you need playmakers!!!not system players!!

A two star committed to FIU (I don't care how underrated he is) and a three star OL from New York. That is who we have locked up if signing day was today.

No big time DT (lolz), CB poor, LB poor, WR poor. Mother**** this staff.

CB is going to be a problem. We really don't have a lot of depth at CB and need to sign 2-3 quality players.

So if u had to pick between Irvin and Knowles?

Butch gets both and developes them, choosing one isn't the point. Miami used to get them both.

You're probably right on! I got a really nice vibe from watching Butch on The U part II. I remember his run here but I also remember him getting a LOT of the same **** Folden gets now early on. The difference is that it felt then like Butch was just working thru sanction stuff but had a clear and viable plan going forward.

Golden seems to have a plan as well...but he has shown so many other holes in his overall coaching game that we need something else.

That said, I have a hard time engaging in any conversation when the only response is "Butch would do this...Butch would do that"..cause it kinda pointless. I hate giving up a dream to land Butch but unless you truly feel that your endless "Butch love" will help the situation, then maybe we can discuss the players or recruiting ideas, etc.

Very true...

DB development looks to be a GLARING weakness. We can lay some of the blame on guys like Tracy Howard or Jamal Carter for not being able to step up but there just seems to be way too many of these types of situations with DBacks under Williams/Golden.
Could Golden be THAT attached to a guy like Paul Williams? I'm sure landing Jaquan Johnson makes Golden feel good but I really feel like he committed to the school in spite of Golden....

That ******* Knowles kid is a beast he's a true game changer on defense. He'll be 215+ by the time he's a sophomore 4.4 type speed. Special gonna play in the league better than any defensive film I've seen all year. Wow

Jalen Julius is a good player, but he's just not what Miami is looking for right now. He's not a CB and there are better options at WR.

I agree, plus, there are limited spots left. We probably have 5-7 spots left.

How can we be 2 months before signing day and a kid like Knowles just emerging! Golden wouldn't know how to mine SoFl talent if you gave him a pick ax and a steel hat with a light. Dude sucks on too many levels to mention.
