The Ole Miss Thread

Georgia State, Tulane X 2, Citadel and Washington State. That was Ole Miss' OOC schedule. How tested have they really been? We see how the SEC has fared against OOC competition this year, and bowl season.

I am starting to think we crush these guys. Yes, their QB is good. No, he hasn't seen anything remotely compared to our D. Their D hasn't seen anything like our OL. What's more, most of their wins were one score wins that could have gone either way.

And beating Georgia? Again, who did Georgia play outside the mildly retarded SEC?

All smoke and mirrors.

I probably won't go as far as you Ole Miss is a great team but they did get a lucky draw with playing 2 teams they already played. Tulane was never going to beat them and in the Georgia case, the cliché hard to beat a team twice played a factor there. Also as much as the Lane stuff makes them a good story. At some point its a distraction that and Chambliss waiver situation I think we'll be the more prepared team on Thursday.

I have one Debbie downer question- Why has Toney had so many issues with ball security this postseason? I’ve counted at least 3 fumbles/bobbles. Is he trying too hard to make a play or is it just the defenses being really good at punching the ball out? Undisclosed injury to hand? I expect he will get plenty of looks against Ole Miss and will have the football in his hands a lot.
Not saying personally that Toney is wearing down but one of my concerns was how much we were asking out of a kid that’s still so young

One of the quiet contributors since the SMU game has been Marion

He’s turned into a little bit of a Jajuan Jennings 3rd down guy. He dropped the one early against OSU but he’s become a reliable target to mix in with Toney and Daniels I counted like 7 pretty clutch 3rd down conversions by him down the stretch

Could be wearing down but the OsU fumbles were just him getting rocked by downs. Toney is small and is not facing elite nfl talent, OSU hits would’ve made a lot of WR fumble. He just needs to get stronger and focus on ball protection.

A&M he got loose. Not other way around that one. He was getting slingshotted forward and I think he was about to bust a huge play if he broke that tackle and wasn’t protecting the ball.

Let’s see what happens in ole miss. I think he will have more room to work and hopefully doesn’t get blasted as soon as he catches it.

There is also the fact that EVERY bye week team lost. Ole Miss got to play a scrimmage and warm up for the rematch. UGA was sitting on its thumb for a month.

Not both of them

Doesn't matter. They are both dead to me.

Eh. I just heard the cover 3 podcast say our offense has been “***” the last 2 games. Let’s not focus on the facts.
Bud knows ball but he hates how good the Canes are.

Tom Fornelli is a weirdo who just tries to sound smart on Twitter.

Chip Patterson is a bit of a troll but when push comes to shove, he usually tells the truth.

The only one who's reliably good is their Nole guest Danny Kanell.

I like their show, all things considered.
