The Ole Miss Thread

If we score 3 points in the first half against this **** defense, I'm leaving the stadium and heading to the airport. Barring something catastrophic like a massive injury or the craziest bounces of life resulting in multiple turnovers, that shouldn't even be in the range of outcomes. Their defense stinks. I've had plenty of gripes about our offense this season, but even in my wildest dreams would I imagine scoring 3 points in a half against this collection of losers.
Absolutely agree, I just hope we don't start getting stubborn again. I think we gotta come out slinging it around. They don't have to be a particularly good defense to shut down our run game if they sell out to stop it.

Seeing some of these all 22 clips, we can’t give these receivers any space like we did against Ohio state as some of their guys were wide open , the ball just couldn’t get there because the pressure we put on saiyan . With chambliss quick release we can’t let this happen
Super physical at line of scrimmage. We have to assault these WR every play to negate quick throws and throw timing off.

Yeah, I think this is the only reason for the ball security issues. These defenses have been hitting pretty hard.
Downs put two textbook hat-on-ball hits to Malachi. Tip your cap on both those hits. He’s a first round pick and millionaire. watch tbose hits in slow motion, he was able to square Mali up twice, which is hard to do cause Mali is so shifty and elusive.

Last concern- everyone knows Miami SHOULD be able to run the ball on Ole ****, but will Dawson mix it up a little bit or just live in the A Gap? I hope we still get some creativity since I don’t want UM to constantly be in 3rd and 6 if Ole
Miss sells out to stop the run and Dawson just keeps trying to pound the rock. Ole Miss isn’t a good run stopping team but they do
have a decent pair of DTs inside. Dont run into their strength. Stretch the field with some deep shots when it’s 2nd and 3.

He’s shown especially last game to adapt and do what’s needed. I’m rewatching the game right now. And we’re a few small things from blowing them out. One we can’t control the other things we can. It’s there man and their not OSU I see this offense opening up

At this point, every team has A LOT to lose. If these guys don't care whether or not they play for a national championship then we're going to win by 30+.

They're expected to lose. No coach, team confusion, play calling, etc. It really IS for them - the end of what they currently have.

Ever hear of Agincourt? Chosin Reservoir?

Ever hear of Rourke's Drift? The 300?

Ever hear of the 100 Vangarian Vikings that stood should to shoulder near Novgorad with only axes and shields that 10,000 Mongol Cavalry charged, and the Mongol dead were stacked up head high in their front? Same Mongol group - right after they'd slaughtered 48,000 men, women, and children just a few miles away in Kiev in 1240 AD?

These 100 Vikings lost 31 men, and the Mongols got the hail out of there and considered themselves lucky?

I've been snake bit twice by vipers - I was taller, larger, heavier, and armed - just saying that I don't pay much attention to numbers. Numbers don't fight. Numbers going in don't matter.

WE got bit twice this year already by lesser teams - just saying when we play fast and loose - we are great. Ole MIss always plays fast and loose.

They're still dangerous.

I went to peruse the Ole Miss on3 & 247 message boards to see their chatter about the game and half their threads are still about their win against UGA while the other half is about their coaching/roster situation. You'd barely know they have a semi-final playoff game this Thursday.
I'm curious if any of that UGA high is still lingering around the team itself cause their fans are not locked in lol.

Yea people seem to forget these two D’s we’ve played against are the 2 best D’s we’ve played against by far this year ( with the exception of ND but that’s debatable) and are bigger and faster than most ACC D's we play against and the hits are much bigger.
Same thing about people wondering about our offense.Nobody scored more than 16 against OSU all year and we scored 24 and very easily could have / should have scored 30-35+.

I’m thinking Toney and Fletcher will be fine against an Ole Miss D no where near as good as aTm and the Bucknuts and Beck will be fine against their D.
