Facts. He's a great recruiter and has been known to develop some kids. But he's no more than a JAG as an OC. Never seemed to me to be the brightest bulb in the barrel, and you want your OCs to be the smartest man in the room.

He came off like a complete dummy in that “inside the recruiting room” video that was circulating a few years ago where he and D’Onofrio were advocating for some JAG defensive back. And of course he is the guy who called a half back pass in a blizzard.

Just putting it out there but I really believe hiring Kevin Johns from Duke to be OC/QB with a stud recruiter like Tee Martin or Cortez Hankton as CO-OC/WR is what the doctor ordered.

Arroyo would be a disastrous hire...there’s a reason he’s still unemployed and is never mentioned for any OC vacancies. If Arroyo or Coley gets the job I will be very, VERY disappointed.

Coley is a recruiter nothing more.

He was a WR coach at Miami Norland when Saban gave him a job at LSU to lure Dwayne Bowe to LSU.

LSU was a 6-6 program not putting WR's in league while Miami was arguably best program in America had just put 3 WR's first round, yet Bowe left Miami signed with LSU.

On paper it is a match made in heaven. He s runs the power spread, very good x/o's coach. But not a great recruiter while Mario is one of the best to do it. You don't Steele out recruiting a ton lol.

I'm all-in on the Mullen train. Give me that guy who averaged a top 30 offense at his last stop and constructed units able to go up against top 10 teams. Hire an ace at WR coach and we'd be set.

All day, the thought of Scott Frost or Dan Mullen has warmed on me. Just keep Dan's wife away from the offense. Don't need to spread some kissing disease with the whole team.

If there’s one thing Mullen does right recruiting/evaluating it’s QB.

People say that but it’s not true. He went for Vandagriff over Richardson, Emory Jones over Richardson and Trask, Franks over Trask.
