The Next Jameis Winston Is ... Kevin Olsen

What specifically do you dislike about his game Peter? Footwork? Release? Arm Strength? The fact he took your girl?

LMAO you think Pete's ever had a girl. Have you ever seen the dude?

From Jesus to Judas in his frosh yr. wow... love how kaaya is the next coming like kev was last yr. if either were the next Winston they'd be committed elsewhere. I hope they prove me wrong....

This kid is ****y and arrogant, and that is what we need at the QB spot. If he gets the job and has a little success early, the boy could bring this team to another level. A little attitude is what we have lacked in all phases of the game. I'm rooting for him to succeed, we need an offensive leader. I can't remember who the last one was?

If he wasn't light years better than Morris this year, I doubt he will be anything but a KW.

As if anyone was going to start over Morris. Dude could have chopped of both his arms, and Al would have had him throwing passes with his feet. Which may have worked out better.

Never an answer just the bs.

Lack of arm strength, sub-par decision making ability, not a good leader, bad attitude

Now does he have the chance to improve upon those things? Besides arm strength, yes. He can be a serviceable QB, but suggesting he will be anything more than that at this point is absurd.

Serviceable QB? No that's absurd. Again your evals are laughable.

Watching this video and hearing his scouting report by Jc Schurburtt , it sounds absolutely nothing like Petes.

Actually quite the opposite. Now the attitude / leadership issues could be true but the physical breakdown is off .

It's bc JC Schurburtt aint a jealous hoe like Patricia Ariz. The sooner this site takes cats like Ariz and Tito for what they are worth, which is UM students embedded by D$ to pick up on team and recruit chatter the better your lives will be. These kids have ZERO ****ing experience playing or coaching the game of football. Their opinions on recruits or players abilities and tendencies are no better than anyone else on the board. As for Olsen, I will ride with the evals of a coach who is now an NFL OC, and not some jock sniffing sophomore liberal arts major. Do us a favor aziz, keep the factual information coming, keep your opinions to yourself and get your ****ing shine box.

:ibisroflmao:

Man, I seen this **** at work earlier and couldn't post cause of the firewalls they have that keep me from logging in. This **** had me rollin. LA818 went in on Pedro. Wish someone would have posted the chalk body outline cause that's exactly what happened. Ruffless.

You want Pete to beat out Olsen?

No chance

What a difference a year makes.

I was never an Olsen guy.

And this is not even about his lack of focus or work ethic. It's really just that he doesn't have anywhere near the amount of talent to come onto the scene like Winston or Johnny

To play devil's advocate, nobody outside of his immediate family knew who Johnny Manziel was during his redshirt year.
Winston was a top recruit.
Manziel was a 3 star kid most people probably would have said was destined to be a safety.

You never know until they hit the playing field for real.

Bernie Kosar was probably the worst qb I've ever seen in practice. Maybe the worst in history. His physical limitations were greatly augmented by seeing the 2nd stringer, who was the prototype for an ideal qb, but when Bernie hit the field he was a winner.
Same thing with Dorsey, who physically made Jacory look like a power lifter.

You just never know until the snaps count. Then you find out real quick who has the right stuff.

Looking at the highlights...one big difference between them. Olsen played under center in a pro style offense. Kaaya played mostly from the shotgun.

Also, Kaaya has the better arm, but Olsen is no Ryan Williams either. Olsen also appears to throw well on the run.

They both look good, but I'm puttin my money on the guy that's already here. Its a great problem to have.

Brock Berlin.

I think Golden is hard on Olsen because they see him as being great.....not just good. He is a coaches kid and all the NFL players in his family. I think he will beat out Williams.

I think people lost a bit of hope with Olsen because we were expecting to hear great things from practices about him but so far we heard off field issues. Also correct me if I am wrong, allot of the hype about him comes from his junior year since we was out his senior correct?

Yes, he was injured his senior year so most of his highlights are from his junior year. He did blow up at the camps including the Elite 11.

The fact that he's already surpassed Gray Crow should tell you something about how he is progressing.
