At least Stavridis was from Palm Beach and supposedly cared about Miami football. Of course we can't have someone like him to try to dig this program out of its grave.

Assuming Julio Frenk Mora is another Shalala clone who gives zero ***** about UM football. This is awful.

Holding out hope for the admiral. If not, I can't imagine this mora character will care about excelling in athletics. Might be over for us.

Last I checked this was a FOOTBALL FORUM. Go to the UHealth message boards or the "how-to-take-your-non-profit-school-and-essentially-eliminate-the-sports-program" message board and have a great life.

And it's pretty **** funny you're calling someone else a Seminole...Seminoles share your viewpoint on this matter.

******* program is being destroyed before our eyes and tools like this are taking the "mightier-than-thou" battle cry onto a message board aimed at HURRICANE FOOTBALL FANS.

Kenneth Alan Shaw and Katharine Culbert Lyall where Presidents of UW System during Donna's term as Chancellor of UW Madison. She was president of a little university before that. So she was not "in charge" as a president might be but rather running one campus, a big one but a campus nonetheless.

By the way, her claim to fame at UW Madison was a couple of speech restrictive codes, one later ruled unconstitutional and the other abandoned after it's witch hunt nature became evident.(Just in case anyone thinks she is not behind the band on signs at basketball games). People like her support free speech only as it applies to themselves and those who agree with them.

It is a glorious that she is leaving but sad indeed that she is likely to be replace by one as bad or worse than her. We clearly need another amendment "separation of education and politics".

We need an AD with balls. Someone that will tell the president and bot to go **** themselves and yet work with them at the same
time. Good/Great ADs hire great coaches. We won't get a good/great coach til Blake James is fired and we get a real AD. And getting a real AD most likely won't happen cause the BOT doesn't want a successful athletic program.

The whole thing sucks

She ran a university....so she didn't run a state system. Not sure what that has to do with it. So your saying we should only hire people that have run entire states higher education systems? You're point was flawed, Donna met the criteria you were criticizing.

Our $1 Billion in medicare fraud governor first allowed the **** Koch brothers to take control of the FSU School of Business and eliminate free thinking from the curriculum, pushed out the former legislator (political) appointed President. To the protest of students they made a hand picked do boy fund raiser the president. Can't get any more political. Maybe you'd get excited if they narrowed the candidates to those high level thinkers like Rick Perry and Sarah Palin to lead us to football glory. Been in America too not to recognize the code words or intents of so called conservatives or religious right. I do share your desire for the BOT hire a more balanced President who shares the same intensity to make all facets including FOOTBALL a priority.
