The Good, Bad and Ugly

It was why I was getting so defensive about the Mallory venom on this board

Lashlee gave the blueprint

Mallory is clearly a good target for us in a certain way but Gattis has got him doing mind numbing ****

He’s obviously not a complete tight end but he’s shown how he can be a weapon. Not that hard either
For every good play Mallory makes he ***** up another.

Dropped 3rd down pass and whiffed on 3rd down block when we had 3rd and 2 from the UNC 40 .... poor play design but ****** effort and Parrish gets tackled for 4 yard loss and we have to punt. Those were essentially two turnovers

Yes he’s a terrible blocker this is well established

For a tight end that had over 100 yards you would think he ****ed some of these guys wives though

Mirabal has done a terrible job with this Offensive Line.
Disagree. Hes playing without his best OL and LT. They‘ve improved but hes not turning chicken **** into chicken salad. Could you imagine last year being down 4 OL and what the result would’ve been? He wasn’t turning this group into maulers in six months lol.

I don’t want to overstate it but when we got down to the end with all our backups (which was a huge concern coming into the season) they held their own for the most part

Many of us have said for YEARS.

OL room recruiting, training, and retention program has been AWFUL.

They need a wholesale change of talentless to at least average talented before Miami is going to beat MTSUs of the world.

Don't expect anything but misery until Y3/Y4 of Big Manny's tenure.

If I told you 27 points would be their total before the game what would you think? We allowed six points in the second half. So there was adjustments . As for the busts it’s unlike anything i‘ve ever seen.
Agreed man. Fumble and not converting inside the two yard line. People have been harping on Mario, he didn’t do a lot of bonehead things today. In the clutch threw up on ourselves. As long as we improve, I’ll judge the process not the results.. yet

Stop giving Gattis credit for doing what any idiot could do and let TVD sling it around after were already behind. Fact is we got in a hole because of ridiculous play calls on 1st and goal at the 2.

1st three plays we went with the All 22 offense and ran it up the gut into a mass of humanity. 0 WRs. All 22 players on the field in the box. Where is the running lane with that many bodies in the box? One of thos was a QB sneak from the 2. Lmao

Then the cherry on top was Gattis staying with a run look on 4th down and trying to sneak the TE out.. Coker T. 1 WR. That is a 1st or 2nd down play when they are not expecting pass. Not on 4th down when they are expecting that because they have stuffed you 3 straight times.

It can't be overstated how bad Gattis is in the redzone. Has killed us 3 straight games now. He has to go

After being critical of TVD last week, and deservedly so, this week he was much more the QB we've been needing. Looked more confident with each throw and less hesitant.

Receivers didn't do him any favors and that fumble by Knighton was a backbreaker. I refuse to call him Rooster. Back in the day, up earned the right to be called a nickname.

I'm more encouraged
