These are middle of the pack teams that play in mid bowl games every year and pay their offensive line coach like 300k. We are paying the guy you are simping for 8M.

If you go look up bama, Georgia, ND, LSU, they all have many more draft picks than us, littered with first rounders. Instead of comparing Miami to those elite recruiting schools, I chose mid tier developmental programs. You called Iowa and Wisconsin “great”. Well where does Mario’s OL development fall on this scale? Cause he doesn’t do what bama/uga does, he doesn’t do what Iowa & Wisconsin do. It’s probably right in that 10-15 range, just like his recruiting.

Got my Mario criticisms but one thing with him is his board is bigger than the fans. We get wrapped up in a handful of early high ranked recruits every single season but names consistently come out of nowhere with these guys

When it comes time to signing and we pay…who knows

D$ captured it. If we don't believe in Mario, why would they? Our best season in 20 years, and we could not finish - we choked, we mocked them and then folded.

UF finished 8-5, won their last 4 games including against two ranked teams, have money, are in the SEC and have a QB people are excited about.

**** em both, but if we are not getting players to commit to Miami over those two, that is a Miami problem to solve.

I think NIL funds became short after the Cantwell commitment. There’s something @DMoney and other insiders aren’t telling us. I’ve been saying it over and over - something isn’t adding up.

The numerous issues (the end of season collapse, lousy fanbase, playing in the ACC, 20 years of mediocrity etc) didn’t suddenly pop up after mid June. What else could’ve changed? Our NIL situation.

Relying on flips is a fools exercise, especially with the new legislation. Not saying they can’t happen but it’ll be more difficult (and sparse) than ever before.

I didn’t say rely on flips did I?

If I did that’s my mistake. Flips didn’t even work last year at the end. It’s a typical summer meltdown we have around here and it’s played out different ways

Yep. Also Cooper hasn’t even decided yet. I’ll wait. Cantwell caused a colossal meltdown here and even D$ was lied to

Not saying we land him but the pre-meltdowns are a little early

I’m not as optimistic as you are but we will see. Perhaps, it’s ptsd from last year’s recruiting collapse in November and December. It’s just crazy we can’t close on kids who were all but done deals. July has been a nightmare.

I'll just keep saying 9 years of Starting OT play if he does it from Sewell, Mauigoa, and Cantwell will absolutely 100% be Elite. Period, end of story, because none of you little mopy cucks have any valid response to that lol

I hear ya. Probably not “optimism” as much as I just don’t have the energy for pre meltdowns anymore

I’m tired boss

I’ll save the emotion for when we hit the finish line on our faces like last year (if it happens)
