People ask, “Why do local players crap on Miami?” And those same people have hundreds of posts crapping on Miami.

And it’s usually deserved. We’ve been bad for two decades. There are many reasons to be cynical. But we can’t act surprised when local kids who grew up in Miami, around Miami fans, around Miami meltdowns have a lack of faith in Miami.

Laughable to make this out to be something exclusive to Miami.

These HS recruits are going else where not because of Mario. A lot of them prefer to play in SEC, they prefer big home crowds that provide a College environment, they prefer NIKE over Adidas. You can bring in any other coach like a Lane Kiffin, and it wouldn’t change a thing.

Miami needs to change to the SEC or BIG 10 and to NIKE, Hopefully that would fixed that home crowd attendance.

And we should be saying **** them then. Recruiting is no walk in the park, and I'd prefer our odds with OOS metro guys that actually like us instead of local guys that literally look for every excuse to leave. I think local guys that are good that want to get on board early and the more developmental guys are for sure the local ones you still want to be on. But these highly rated dudes that think they're all better than us, well they have consistently shown they don't want to be Canes. And the ones that do end up Canes it likely isn't this big of a ******* hassle to get them on board. That's just the truth.

Like sure there is some nuance, but If you're a local 5 star legacy and obviously we are prioritizing the **** out of you and offering you guaranteed top 1 or 2 money, then what the **** is there really to consider? That player should absolutely know by early summer whether he wants to be a Cane or not, and I think odds are very low you change a dude like that's mind. Period. It's like why sit there keep trying to push and expend resources on that guy when you have OOS kids who are just as good and more willing to actually consider you.

I swear Miami fans out hella out of touch w/ how kids view us down here. This generation does not care about the time before them not one iota, they grew up watching Miami suck/mid. Only way to change this for the better is success on the field and in the NFL Draft. Gotta make the playoff this yr the roster good enough to get it done.

That should be working in our favor. Kids these days are supposedly mercenaries going to the highest bidders and we have top 5 NIL.

We won more games year over year had our best season in 20 years with a monster recruiting head coach along with top 10 NIL program, and have our best roster since 03. But yet our recruiting gets worse year after year and now all of sudden recruits dont believe in us. Make it make sense
