After Spafford flipped, Lopez picked Noles and that was first domino in this tailspin.

Something happened, kids don't all of sudden stop believing in Miami overnight. The argument that other schools have money has always been true. I don't buy either as root cause
 
The irony is this class is right on par with the 2024 class that everyone liked to beat their chest about being “Top 5”

Truth is that was a Randy Shannon-esque numbers game

This class is right in line with where we’ve been since Mario got here

Something is up here. If it’s Dennis, expose it. Otherwise, Mario, figure it out. We are losing way too many battles over the past two cycles. Cantwell is great. It takes more.

I guess we are just talking about high school here but the two philosophies should show this year. I would say if portal counts it's not even close. We landed the number 1 pick in the draft and now a QB who is top 5-10. If Lagway pans out for UF then it could be even or a win for them if we don't have equal production after Beck. As far as this year they had the better HS class and we had the better portal. Time will tell. I would still rather be using than them though.

My dude I don’t give a motha**** about the Gators. I’m talking about sorry ***. All we have to hang on to from last season is a big win in G-Ville vs a team that everyone swears sucks and doesn’t recruit well. Who gives a ****?
 
Local coaches and programs don't rock with us, it's plain to see. Mario just needs to continue to recruit nationally and win with the players he can get. Miami is a bandwagon city, idk why people expect some type of hometown pride from south Florida.

What about the argument that maybe we are in the 5-10 range of spending and by us getting the #1 player in the country who is likely among the most expensive if not THE MOST expensive, it natrually is going to lead to losing some other Head to Head top battles. Yet we still have what like 7 top 200 recruits in July currently when last year we had 6 total and the highest was Lowe who was ranked like 30s in composite I think...

It should have never gotten to the point he was allowed to run the defense. Anyone with a brain knew the syracuse game was going to be a bear. Cam gave the team a 21 point lead and the defense couldn';t hold on.

Ga Tech was a failure on all of the staff. They simply got out coached

This is what doesn’t make sense to me either. We didn’t blow a 21-0 lead and a chance at the playoffs in July. That was months ago. We still picked up the #1 player in the nation and were talking about a top 3 overall class. Then all of a sudden things changed and now we’re striking out on what seemed like solid targets. Seems like there’s more to it

So UF is the target? They stink. Being better than them isn’t getting us anywhere. That’s nonsense.

It didn’t happen over night. Cooper said after his ov that people say miami is the place where dreams die. Don’t know if y’all realize but there is only 2 kids from sfla committed in this class. 2
