The Draft has shown

The ACC had 8 total players drafted in the first 3 rounds with half of those from Clemson. Nine teams from the ACC had no players drafted. How anybody attempts to defend this conference is beyond me. But there’s typically at least 1 Brock for every conference.

The death of UM; A football school who was lured into a weak conference to boost up its basketball program. It’s been a disaster to say the least. Man... The NFL is showing us how watered down our program has become.
Yeah. Shoulda stayed in the powerhouse Big East.

They dont want us. We came to ACC to get on welfare..
Exactly. We are paid to be their Washington Generals. Ever wonder why we never cause a stink over all the bad officiating we've seen?

The draft will humble you.

But dont worry next year we'll have 5 juniors leave and go in the 7th round, take it to the bank
The only ones who should even consider going are Rousseau and Jordan. Jordan hasn’t been able to stay healthy at all so I think he’d be a fool to go at this moment.

And now fau with a player drafted before Miami. This year's draft is a huge Indictment on the coaching staff's failure to properly develop and identify talent (mostly a failure to develop). When kids from Wyoming, dayton, Louisiana and d2 schools get drafted before Miami kids it's a huge huge problem. Even gr15 wasn't a starter till almost half way through the year this past season.

There’s OSU, Bama, and LSU talent. Then there’s everyone else. Remember the days when it was UM talent then there was everyone else.

GR15 is 1st round talent. Hope we have a season and he shines and stays healthy. But overall lately, you're spot on.

He has 1st round talent. So have many others that walked through here, but lately our guys seem to slip heading into junior year/ don’t continue to develope.

McIntosh, Joe Jackson, Garvin, etc..

If GR15 was at say OSU he would 100% be a top 5 next draft. Let’s see what happens.

Manny has had his cycle of players (4 years). So far he has shown minimal development. What his highest drafted player here defensively? 4th round? Not gonna cut it

Manny and his crew are not developing players into NFL capable players. If anything, they shine as freshmen and fizzle out.

What do you expect when playing in a gimmick, non-fundamental scheme and being a "Starter" that plays half of every game.

I dont blame any of the defensive kids for leaving. If they stay they get to rotate every series and share snaps with every other kid who plays the same position.

On offense though, playing for our first real coaches we've had on that side of the ball in over a decade would be nice.

I expect to see some actual player development from the offense over the next 2-3 years.

The rotating **** is so ******* annoying. Manny and his band of clowns won’t make it past year 3

UF, FSU, FIU, FAU, UCF - all have players off the board. TEMPLE HAS MULTIPLE PLAYERS OFF THE BOARD!

Manny has been here for 4 years and he can't even luck a defender that he's coached for 3-4 years into the first three rounds. The entire defensive staff is mediocre as fugg. The LB coaching is awful.

So... we’re just unlucky. Our recruitment rankings have consistently been better than teams like Charlotte, BC, Wisconsin, Temple, Vanderbilt, Wyoming, App St, TCU, Utah, Dayton, Cincinnati, Arkansas, Iowa, Houston... ect. But - that’s just because we’re falling for the banana in the tail pipe and recruiting all the wrong guys?

They have managed to get guys drafted in the first three rounds because they have more talent?

LMAO. Seriously.
We need better player development which comes down to coaching......losing to sorry *** teams doesn't help either....when a scout turns on FIU game film in his eyes he sees overrated talent. Also, just cuz you don't get drafted high doesn't mean you aren't talented. How many early picks turn out to be busts? Scouts and teams make mistakes every year...alot of y'all are letting your emotions take over....what did y'all expect? Lol

Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.....SAINT JOHN'S HAVE A PLAYER OFF THEIR BOARD BEFORE US!!! Go to their Wiki page....they have ZERO football history. Now they lay claim they got a player drafted in the 4th.

no.
The players are what they are.

RJ got pushed around in the run game too much, injures shoulder caused him to drop too, Joe Jackson was too stiff, couldn’t bend the edge, tested poorly.

Shaq lacks sideline to sideline speed, more of an old school LB.

Bandy too short. Elder was a good athlete, but not off charts and he was small too.

Jaquan Johnson, again smaller stature didn’t test great.

RJ
Chad
Jenkins
Redwine

These guys above improved and were better athletes that’s why they went higher than others or got drafted.

no one is going to coach Shaq, Jaquan, Bandy over their draft position, they have limitations that prevent it.

That’s also why Greg Rousseau and Jaelen Phillips could both be drafted very high.

Long, twichy, fast athletic DE’s.

I think Manny understands the need to get more athletic on defense.

DE’s like Rousseau, Phillips, Chantz, and Queutin Williams

DT’s like Hunte, Blissett, Holley, Roberts

LBers like Avery Huff, Sam Brooks, Austin-Cave.

Strikers/DB’s like Frierson, Smith, Hall, Williams

we are actually going to be more athletic on defense next few years than we have been IMO which should translate to Higher drafted defensive players.
