That's the flip side of Bama winning the SECCG. I think the committee loves ND and are more likely to boot Bama out than ND but that's JMO. With either of those scenarios, though, BYU HAS to lose.
Zero chance they boot Bama unless they lose and have some key injuries (like their starting QB).

Yeah, that's what we're saying.

Bama win - bama is in but they move ahead of ND. Assuming BYU loses, that puts Miami and ND next to each other and the committee is forced to pick Maimi and leave ND out.

Bama loses - bama probably is out with 3 losses. Assuming BYU loses, the committee can have both Miami AND ND in the CFP.

They already lost Jam Miller. Simpson also should've entered concussion protocol, it looked like if he takes one more hit to the head his brain will be mush

@DMoney

D what you and others in the media should also stress is that HEAD TO HEAD HAS TO EVEN MEAN MORE IN NOTRE DAME games than those for teams that belong to a conference.

With ND not being in a conference, they don't have to deal with tiebreakers and h2h for positioning to make conference championship games…So when they play another team jockeying for a playoff spot then HEAD TO HEAD has to mean even more that is their tiebreakers!

Oh wow, the ACC rushing to Miami's aid once their ridiculous tie-breaker rule burns them. They know there's a real shot that Duke pulls it off and the ACC is left out completely.
They better be leaning HARD on their rep to make a lot of noise in the room.

Alabama isnt playing good football.

Struggled with South Carolina Clemson just hammered in same stadium.

Beat coachless LSU with backup QB by 11.

Lost at home to OU team with no offense.

Squeked by coachless 5 win Auburn needing a GW drive helped by the refs to win by 1 score.

They are soft, and shouldnt get the Nick Saban favoritism.

They also have worst loss in field to FSU which IMO should disqualify them, I dont give 2 craps if they are 1 seed in SEC. That is due to bloated leagues and unbalanced schedules. Bama avoided Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Texas.

And if we're being perfectly honest, their resume is skimpy by SEC standards. They hit the absolute lottery as far as SEC schedules go, and then they lucked out again by LOSING a tiebreaker to get to skip the SEC ship.
USCe blowing that huge lead vs TAMU really hurts. Their resume would be awful with that awful loss and in a similar 2-loss pool.

I was talking more about Ole Miss. Tamu has the win at ND.

For a 2 loss team, OU should be on thin ice, but yet I turn on my tv after they beat lame duck coaches LSU on a blown coverage and see confetti graphics flying saying they clinched? Was that a championship game? They somehow "clinched" because ESPN said so? 20 seconds after the final whistle? I thought you "Clinch" when the committee says your in? But somehow a 4 pt. win over a backup qb led, 5-loss team makes you "clinch".

OU's fluke win at Bama (Bama owned the game, weird turnovers, etc hurt em) is really what sucks here. All 3 of them shouldn't deserve to be in, but the way H2H fell and Ole Miss not having to play in the SEC ship…is a perfect storm to f**k UM

That's not a real shot, that's 100.0% reality.

If Duke wins, the ACC will have ZERO teams in the playoff.

All you had to do was sit down when you decided to make this a 400 team league and say, "what's the worst possible scenario? The worst possible scenario is a bunch of teams being tied for Charlotte, and a really bad one emerges and wins the league, and we get shut out. How do we mitigate that? Easy, make tiebreaker #2, or at worst tiebreaker #3, be highest ranked CFP team. That way, no matter what, we'll have our highest ranked teams playing for the title"

But no, they let it get down to "record of all opponents" when Miami and Duke had TWO common opponents! Syracuse and NC State. Utterly ridiculous.
