The best offensive line in America

The O-line is and was very solid against an elite ND front 7 but 3.4 yds per rush and an inability to consistently convert, via runs, short sticks into first downs makes this “best in the nation” claim seem a bit premature.
My thoughts exactly. We didn’t run at will and had a difficult time in short yardage

I think Dawson is heavily influenced by Mario in terms of running dives down the middle/right side. It’d be awesome if they mixed the running game up a little to catch people off guard, but I put the running scheme on Mario. I think it might be something we have to live with.
But why though? What about those plays would he be so enamored with to the exclusion of so many other options? I get if you like to play bully ball, especially with this group. Fine, do it. But what’s the reason for so little variation?

Justin Scott’s forced fumble had to be one of the biggest plays for us on defense in a while. Big play yes but because it was Scott and how badly we need him to pan out

I know the entire board was thinking it when it happened a huge sigh of relief
He showed elite IQ and athleticism on that play. To recognize the screen, then have the athletic ability to turn, run down the line, and make a play on the wide receiver screen in the flats, was all I needed to see. If he can play consistent he will be a monster.

With Bain and Mesidor demanding attention on the outside, he should see a lot of one on one opportunities , that he should be able to win.

Considering the norm here for 20+ years was ZERO consistency and our O line looking like the tuba players in the Frost Band Of The Hour I'll take 3.4 yards per rush every day of the week and three times on a Sunday. They were consistent, very few times we were bullied up front.

Watch what this O line Fletcher Lyle Marty combo does to the rest of our schedule.. We will run at will

Absolutely MAULING teams to death, Marios visions are becoming realities.

I wouldnt be surprised if 4 out starting 5 OL, goes first round next year. We have to take advantage of them this year lol.

Hate to credit the self righteous and sanctimonious irish but they may be one of the better defenses we play this year
I don't think there is any doubt that they have the best D we will see during the regular season.

He’s an incredible athlete.

There was one shot of him before the goal line rugby push TD where he was lined up, waiting, and he was doing a deep squat - something you don't expect to see with a 300+ pounder. I thought he did great and glad to see him alternate with McCoy.

We can hope for a Georgia vs. Miami National Championship Game. ESPN would bring back Rinaldi to write the narrative of Redemption from Rejection.

In defense of our line the type of run game we have you arent going to be gashing teams for yards a whole game. We are going to wear down a handful of teams on our schedule but other than that stretch late in the game where we played pretty bland we imposed our will multiple times on a defense that many think is elite. I mean the one TD drive we basically told them what we were doing and the right side did as they please.

The more Beck an Co get comfortable the more these 4-6 yard gains will result in some 10-15 yards gains...then late in the game you want no part of tackling guys like Fletcher and Brown.
