The best offensive line in America

I have a feeling they were more concerned about ND’s secondary than the DL. The gameplan was very conservative, which is understandable too. I’d like to see Dawson let Beck open it up a little more, giving him the freedom to change a run call to a pass if needed. Having a QB that can reliably do that at the last second is huge.

I think they played well, but like everyone, they have some things to clean up. ND didn't throw a lot at them. ND had a sack, multiple pressures and tackles for losses. 2 playoff trenches on both sides of the ball for both teams. Yes, Miami's OL played very well.

They are very good, but I'm not ready to proclaim them the best—I want to see a half-season's worth of games (last time we thumped ND, they had "the best").

Last year they were very good, but then pass protection broke down in those last two losses at the worst times, even with a Q that escaped like Houdini.

The staff should have let them continue beating up their front with 7-minute drives running the ball in the 3rd with a lead to wear down the D, rather than that string of 3 and outs throwing.

And maybe I missed a few, but we didn't seem to distribute the ball to our TEs much last night. It's a good thing NDs TE has hands of stone.

Hands down. Tip of the sword. DL stood on business as well. Not as complete of a unit but still dominate.

Just an observation, not a criticism...

Beck might want to add a touch more spice to his game with a little more scrambling for yards of gain.

Some chunks were left out there when the throw wasn't available.

To me, biggest difference between Carson and Cam under center last night.

While not perfect, he made some big boy throws all game.
Did Cam face a D as good as ND last year? If ND ends up being the worse game Beck plays all year--I'll take it.

For sure. Weather, new WR's who I'm not sure he trusts, and let's be real, they didn't blitz or bring much pressure because they were sitting in the secondary.

Best OL in the country, we'll see. It's a good one and it held up well with minimal men added in the box or blitzing from the Irish. They weren't going to let us throw down the field, that was clearly their game plan. Their linebacker, if not I coverage, sat down in the box to attack our ground game.

Having said all of that, the OL looked more cohesive than it has in past years. When they would bring an extra guy, we did a **** fine job picking it up, sometimes with the back heading out on a route. They did their job, but I'm slow to crown anything.
While he only got one pass the blocking by Lofton was pretty amazing tonight.

**** good OL. Probably the best DL they face all season outside of making it to the ACC championship game against Clemson. Gators and FSU will have some decent players but they don’t match up to Notre Dames DL.

Sisi was as much on Cooper and center. He at least tried to circle back but it was too late.

Can only imagine what we do to lesser teams like UF, fsu
