Bruh how Haulcy former coach can't get him to Miami like wtf
Where is the beefUnfortunately he’s a mouthpiece for miami these days. So no bring critical he’ll just find a way to spin it. But let’s be real we all know we needed and the plan was WR1 LB 1 impact safety and rotational dt. We’re gonna settle for a few depth pieces and make it sound like they’re great additions.
Kyoto.I'm in Japan so it's the 27th here.
I don’t disagree. Definitely doesn’t hurt. He was a good player at Rutgersyeah but arroyo had two of those. don't see the harm in bringing in someone that was with hetherman for 2 years who last performed at a really high level. if it doesn't work, no harm as it's a 1 year rental
In no world whatsoever, do you move your best CB to safety. That is one of the stupidest ideas I’ve ever heard. You need to take that one back.I hope they move Lucas to safety to get our best players on the field .
I think that one was for Marion. This better be the kid from Houston?!![]()
As long as we get the safety from Houston, I’ll be a happy camper. We retained the majority of our roster and I’d argue all important pieces minus Horton. We will end up with the fourth rated transfer class. Not sure why people are flipping out. Would’ve been sweet to get a WR1 but that was an impossibility in the spring since one was not really available. Letting Horton walk is the only questionable thing as far as I see.
Someone will have to be moved to get our best players on the fieldIn no world whatsoever, do you move your best CB to safety. That is one of the stupidest ideas I’ve ever heard. You need to take that one back.
Define being “ready” because my definition may be different, and I do not feel comfortable asking sophomores to do more than being rotational players. Which is what we need to compete with the big boys.Scott and jones are highly recruited and should be ready next year . We’re ranked 4 in the portal . We have some big de who might end up dt later too
And that person isn’t Lucas. He’s the best cornerback on our team.Someone will have to be moved to get our best players on the field
I would disagree with sophomore expectations. High talented, 4 and 5 star, sophomore should be contributors, more than just rotational. Sophomore year put your name on the map, junior year make your money. They should be “stars” for lack of a better word by second half on the season. Will they be? I don’t knowDefine being “ready” because my definition may be different, and I do not feel comfortable asking sophomores to do more than being rotational players. If you’re in the rotation then to me you’re “contributing”. At the moment, we don’t have any one who is going to move the needle and win you games. Which is my main point.I would disagree with sophomore expectations. High talented, 4 and 5 star, sophomore should be contributors, more than just rotational. You don’t like someone with his skill sets to be able to play the entire field ? Instead of one side ?And that person isn’t Lucas. He’s the best cornerback on our team.
I do and I believe our true freshman are ready . These kids been playing football their entire life you bring someone in they’re better than and sit the bench they’ll transfer .Define being “ready” because my definition may be different, and I do not feel comfortable asking sophomores to do more than being rotational players. Never in 1 million years would I take away a cornerback that can play on the island and defend any wide receiver in the game, away from that position. You want to move Damari to safety, that’s fine. But OJ is our best cornerback and he is lockdown. You don’t like someone with his skill sets to be able to play the entire field ? Instead of one side ?
I think y’all are missing the point. He’s talking about the perspective of a transfer WR looking at Miami. It’s a fair observation IMO.Some of them want bad things to happen so they can say. " I told you so"
TouchéWhy do you continue to think they will answer you when they know as well as you do there was none. But they need to keep stoking that fire so they will continue to push their agenda.
I call it "CISing"
Would I be crazy to think the plan at Safety is moving Damari Brown or Bobby Pruitt there? Or we have a plan for a transfer? Here is the latest on the Portal:
- Miami is in a good spot with four-star transfer WR Keelan Marion (BYU), LB Kamal Bonner (NC State) and K Bert Auburn (Texas). I'm told Bonner has the defensive staff very excited and has great reports from NC State.
- The Canes think they are right in the game with RB Marty Brown (North Dakota State). Nebraska is the competition.
- I'm told Miami has a plan at safety. I haven't been told what it is, but they are working on several things. DB AJ Haulcy (Houston) is still in the picture but there are other things going on.
- DB Greg Smith (Florida) is another option at safety but is separate from the plan referenced above.
- Miami is continuing to look for a depth piece at DT.
- The Canes have interest in USF nickel Brent Austin. He made 48 tackles and had 2 picks last year.
- WR Tony Johnson (Cincinatti) is another name to watch as a depth piece who has played.
- While some names in the Portal are waiting for paperwork to clear, I can confirm Miami has retained its current roster.
