“Florida Gator fans love it because it’s the Gators. But, you know, Seminole fans also like it because someone had to kill a Gator to make those boots,” DeSantis told a crowd at the Heritage Foundation. “So that’s the only way I found to be able to please both sides.”

So how much lift did he get with that pair?

What happened today is nonsense.

This is not a comparable situation.

In the Big 10 Championship vs #13 Wisconsin OSU and 3rd string QB Cardale Jones won 59-0. They curb stomped Wisconsin and Cardale threw for 260 and 3 TDs.

If FSU had destroyed Louisville and the QB looked half way decent they’d be in the playoffs. But that’s not what happened. They barely scraped by because FSUs backup QBs are not Cardale Jones level.

Not a comparable situation in the slightest.

True. However, Jones was terrific in the Big 10 Championship game and OSU beat Wisonsin 59-0. He was very good in the CFP.

Rodemaker was awful against a bad UF team. Glenn was embarrassing last night.

Based on the selection criteria the committee picked the correct four.

AInt a 13th team in the history of CFB have a claim for championship.. EVERYONE knows it was expanded for money.. MOST years you have a couple top notch teams, on a yea like this season maybe 6 ATMOST.. The playoffs probably should be 8 tops, I will never cry for a 11-13 team.. WIN YOUR GAMES..

I hate FSU as much as anyone, and more than many, but to win the ACC title game with a third string QB is the epitome of gutsiness. They earned it, period. They were lucky as ****, but they still earned it.

I hate fsu and enjoy their tears, but i have to agree. Now would be the time to sue espn to get out of media rights deal. Sue the cfp committee. If i was the ACC i would boycott all bowl games and if i was the individual teams i would be leaving the ACC right now while a legal whirlwind was going.

But, what about their D? Everyone wants to moan about their O, but ****, their D just throttled the **** out of Louisville. They deserved a shot. I guess winning with D isn't good for ratings?

I get it but the offense failed the eye test the last couple games without Travis. The offense is bad without their ACC player of the year, Heisman candidate QB. It removed so much from their offense.

You guys are missing the point. I argued FSU not making it in several threads. This is about a conference that is suppose to stick up for their teams. If this had happened to UNC they ACC would go nuclear. I think the question is will they do this for FSU.

This is a horribly bad precedent and even with a 12 team playoffs if an ACC team is on the bubble with a "slightly" better record than an SEC team, the SEC team is getting in. THIS IS BAD!

The value of Jordan Travis is EXACTLY enough to put Alabama ahead of them, but NOT QUITE ENOUGH to put Georgia ahead of them.

The whole "F$U is not a Top 15 team without Jordan Travis" squad needs to STFU and realize that the CFP Committee said that FSU is a TOP FIVE team without Jordan Travis.
