Thad Franklin

Gotta expand the recruiting map.

Have to take a more cut throat approach with local recruiting. Can't give them too much leeway, either shìt or get off the pot & we move on.

But I've been preaching it for awhile now, recruit TX, AZ, LV, East STL (ILL/MO) & the Northeast NY/NJ/Philly/Conn & only take the South Fla kids who will stay committed & won't take any visits.

Have to stop always accepting early commits from locals using us as a placeholder.

Yup. Lots of fans been preaching this especially all the bull**** early commits.

That’s exactly the point.

It’s a lot easier to sign a Top 300 guy close to home (like Chaney and Knighton) than it is to go against the top SEC teams on foreign turf.
Who in most cases would’ve taken money and went to the SEC...

I'm ok with the kids we've signed. I think the biggest issue is these kids need to develop when they get on campus. Need to put up numbers once they get on the field. With the porous offensive schemes from our last few regimes and bad OL play it don't matter if we would've signed 5 star RB's, very possible those guys wouldn't have made it to the league neither.

We have a staff full of joke recruiters. Our staff struggles. Point blank. That is the reason why
When are idiots like you going to realize it’s the kids? You’ll have Jajuan Seider here and still won’t get anything or are you too dense to comprehend that?

It’s funny how we’re always in it for OOS til the last minute and actually get them but we’re cooked by October with SFL kids. Why don’t y’all use some common sense and put 2 & 2 together.

Dear god what? Everybody connected in SFL here are finally telling you these kids ain’t coming back. They didn’t come for Butch either that’s why half of our last championship team wasn’t from Florida let alone south Florida. Maybe if dumbass fans like you and ethnic weren’t yelling from the rooftop like lunatics to put a premium stock in SFL kids then maybe we’ll start to win some battles and then win some games.

We got a 6’7 240 pound stud from Portland right now that literally told his HS coach to get him a UM offer and I bet we won’t even pay him the time of day even though we offered.

Whom are you referring to?

Go Canes

No matter how bad we've been, running back has never been our problem. Especially local ones.

We don't need to sign every top guy, we just need to get some once in a while. And we do.

If we don't get Thad Franklin, it is what it is...there are five more of him in a two year recruiting period...all we need is one...two would be nice.

Before you say anything...

Don Chaney
Jaylen Knighton
Cam Davis

In the past three cycles...thats one back every one year average. We're cool, brothers...tranquilo. And thats not even including us picking up Lorenzo Lingard, DeeJay Dallas, Travis Homer, and Mark Walton over the past five cycles...three of which were out of area.

Win and we'll do even better than that. But as bad as we've been and always having guys that will at least play a little bit in the NFL isn't that bad of a spot.

I'll say it; we have not had outstanding backs in a long time. Your list demonstrates that.

1. You list a total of 7 guys. 2 have not payed a down and one transferred out...playing about a down before he left.
2. How many All Americans do we have on that list?
3. How many first team all ACC backs do we have on that list?

Not bashing the Canes we've had, but the tired old "we always have stud RBs" has not been true for years. The same guys say we don't have to worry about WRs, CBs, etc, because "those grow on trees down here."

Oh no they grow on trees down here. The tree just hasn’t been watered in like ever so everybody off of it is 5’9 and weighs 150.

It shouldn’t matter where a player is from these days. Media age has changed everything. You attack the top guy at the top of your board that has mutual interest and you work your way down. A kid can love Miami living in Connecticut. Just as much if not more than one living in Florida. Recruit the best that are interested and move on when they aren’t. Georgia and other states are growing at massive rates both in population and great quality athletes. Here in Georgia the high schools are starting to be run like small colleges in the way kids train and the expectations put on these kids. It’s crazy.

Those 3 are probably the reason(s) IF any of this means anything. Not a good look.
